The Mars Volta! What a crazy band. Love them.
They are a very odd but very good.
Have you heard their live album?
I’ve only heard Frances the Mute and Deloused personally, but I am inclined to check out more. I’m not really a prog person, but I found those two albums very intriguing.
I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

I’m trying to listen to The Next Day, but some kid next to me is playing music out loud and they’re clashing awfully and I WILL lose my sanity if I have to endure this for another forty-one minutes.

Yeah, late 80s – early 90s is my favourite era for hip hop, before the lawyers started to crack down on sampling.

I think I shall now require some Mellow Floyderies for this obscured-by-clouds evening.

It’s a shame that A Tribe Called Quest never got paid for Can I Kick It? with the Lou Reed sample. Maybe it’ll be resolved the same way Bitter Sweet Symphony was recently.
As for what i’m listening to right now,

Great track!
The Katerwauling during the fade reminds me of Yoko doing “We’re All Water”
