Daytime Nighttime Suffering. Excellent B side from Wings and a possible future contender for our ultimate lost solo album game, perhaps? Also, am I the only one who thinks the riff from the “is all she gets” parts sounds like something from an early (c. 1963ish) Beatles song? For some reason, I can only picture a young George instead of Laurence Juber playing that part…
[this]
nice tune

Yessssss, a most excellent song
‘A’ side is cool too: “Goodnight Tonight” has some of my favourite bass playing of Paul’s career. Great double A-side single (and yes, of course I bought it, 40 yrs ago this summer)

MJ’s bad is really hit or miss. Liberian Girl sucks, Dirty Diana kicks ass
Oy mate, I’ll fight you. Liberian Girl and Dirty Diana are both my favourite MJ songs!! If there’s any dodgy track on BAD, it’s ‘I Just Can’t Stop Loving You’ and that’s because it’s so sickly sweet and twee, that I have to be in a certain mood to listen to it.

Liberian Girl just isn’t what i’m looking for with MJ. It wouldn’t be a fair fight because all i’d have to do is play the song and most people would be immediately convinced that it isn’t good

Me, I hate “Man In the Mirror” more than anything else.
Just channel-surfed to Classic Masters music station…and they’ve just begun to play Famous Beethoven’s Famous 5th Symphony, so I guess I’m listening to the whole thing now. (Not my favourite of the symphonies, but top three, anyways.)

I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

Good song. Fantastic bassline.

Haha I wondered if you’d get around to this one in your Frusciante-fest! Interesting album.

I was almost going to skip The Mars Volta all together and listen to something a bit more simple but I stayed committed and I am enjoying it so far.

They are a very odd but very good.
Have you heard their live album?
That is one of the strangest albums I have ever heard.
Speaking of which I am still listing to them and have listened to the following:
The Mars Volta – Scabdates
The Mars Volta – The Bedlam in Goliath
And in the end the lunch you take is equal to the lunch you bake.
