I’ve been listening to Valentine’s Day, Boss Of Me, Dirty Boys , The Stars (Are Out Tonight), Love Is Lost, The Next Day, Dancing Out In Space, and (You Will) Set The World On Fire on repeat for a very long time.
what’s your favourite on that album? i really like valentines day, but it’s a hard choice.
OOF what a question… uh… probably either Valentine’s Day, Boss Of Me, Dirty Boys , Love Is Lost, or The Stars (Are Out Tonight).
What an impossible question though…

This beautiful, but sadly overlooked by most casual fans Beach Boys classic, with Stig O’Hara himself on drums:
Surely I can’t be the only one who still hears Carl’s voice going around in your head like half an hour after you finished listening to the song.

As I previously mentioned, I’ve been on a weird tiredness-fuelled quest to listen to as much new music as possible over the last day or so. So far I’ve played eleven albums that I hadn’t heard before, and I’ve got a couple more queued up before I go to sleep. Here’s the one I’m currently on, a really cool Brazilian group that brings in influences from funk, bossa nova, noise and even a little bit of country:

he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

If I Needed Someone (I’ve had it in my head all day and need to listen to it on repeat for half an hour to get it out).
Yes, that always works well. My sister and I’ve had the themes from the Dollars trilogy of spaghetti-Westerns going round and round our heads, so here we are…

Haha @Beatlebug I think your David avatar will need a cowboy hat and a Clint Eastwood squint once you’re done listening to all those!

A man i love ,not the same passionate way i love George it’s true,..but is love..
I don’t need a reason
For what I became
I’ve got these excuses
They’re tired and they’re lame
I don’t need a pardon, no no, no no, no
There’s no one left to blame
I’m leaving the table
I’m out of the game
I’m leaving the table
I’m out of the game………………

Fantastic album. I have this long running fantasy of a live recording surfacing from the Hamburg days on which The Beatles are joined onstage by a certain famous saxophonist, so maybe in that alternate universe Trane could have picked up that title…
