I love the lyrics in that song… Writing a song from the perspective of a bad person while keeping it nuanced and ambiguous is something I’m very envious of.

I figured I should justify my Discord name, so I’m listening to a bunch of Coltrane pieces; currently on his wonderful rendition of Body And Soul.

Had to pull this out after discussing I Fought the Law elsewhere, credited to Ivan, it’s a Crickets recording from 1958 with Jerry Allison on vocals and Buddy on guitar.

Originally recorded by Australian Johnny O’Keefe earlier in the year as Wild One, it’s been covered many times since under both titles.

Disc 1 of ATMP on shuffle, and the strangest thing just happened…

First the un-Spectored version of Let It Down played.

Then the Spectored version played.

Then the original My Sweet Lord came along…

And then the 2000 version played.

I’m slightly disappointed that it didn’t play the two Beware of Darknesses next…
