Oof just realized I forgot to listen to that yesterday…
I forgot to listen to it a second time yesterday, as I said I might. (It got lost in the Bowie — what can I say, these things do happen )

Three thoughts and one question:
1. That was so cool
2. That’s a good song, I can see why Beatlebug likes it so much
3. He sounds so different when he’s singing than when he’s talking
and
What year is that video from?
Edit: And a fourth thought:
FIDDY

INDEEEEEED one of my all-time favourite Bowie moments. If you haven’t spent some time trawling around the YouTubes watching Bowie vids (music videos/live stuff/interviews), you should. You’ll fall in love even more or your money back.
2. That’s a good song, I can see why Beatlebug likes it so much
If you think that’s great, you should hear the recorded version — different kind of epic altogether, with all the layers of recording-stuff. It’s just one of the all-time greats in popular music in general.
3. He sounds so different when he’s singing than when he’s talking
He’s a (cracked) actor
and
What year is that video from?
2002, during the Heathen tour, I believe.

Wedding Album was recommended into my inbox and out of curiosity, I clicked “play”…
Now I have managed to get to the 2nd piece…
It’s a…*inhales deeply* rather impressive experience…Not very suitable for doing homework though…

Am: Gone Troppo – George Harrison (1982) (also vinyl)
I need to give the Bowie a break

Now it’s George Harrison (1979) (vinyl ) for Harribinge continuation. I do not know the meaning of balance.

That live version of Heroes gives me chills, but the Live Aid performance is on another level. That’s my unpopular opinion of the day; I think Bowie’s performance at live aid was better than Queen’s *hides*

he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

I just hunted it up. I can see why you like it. That keening synth was especially chill-inducing, and the band was hyped as feck…
I also really love this one:
It was much closer to the original recording arrangement-wise, and that electric violin is just too cool. (Not to mention David’s contouring )
Basically, all versions of ‘”Heroes”‘ are

Not heard that one before, I’ll give it a go! I just love in the live aid one when he says “I’d like to dedicate this song to my son, all our children, and to the children of the world” and then the band quietens a bit and he sings the first line.

Court And Spark is great, definitely up there with Blue
It’s very sunny and nice so I’ve been listening to Magical Mystery Tour , and now I’m on with Sun Ra’s The Futuristic Sounds of Sun Ra. It’s a bit bewildering, but I like it.

Good stuff… the second one has MSL on it
Glen Campbell ‘s Southern Nights too. I love both songs to bits and even though I’ve never watched any of those films, I’m so happy they got some newfound attention from them.
