I do like it Granted, I do not like it as much as New Killer Star, but it’s a good song. Very strange video, but a good song. It kind of reminds me of She’ll Drive The Big Car for some reason.
It might grow on ya… now that I understand what it’s about, it’s one of my favourite things he’s done (and that’s saying something — he’s done some seriously iconic music videos). The song itself is also insidiously catchy.
(There’s a nice write-up of it here which goes into the vid a bit toward the end.)
I’m currently listening to ‘Deja Vu’ by Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young, and plan to listen to Wings At The Speed Of Sound next, but who knows what’ll happen between Now And Then …?

Interesting, the video definitely makes more sense now. I also Googled the lyrics, which helped because I really couldn’t tell what he was saying for a good deal of the song.
Currently listening to I Remember Jeep . Eric Clapton can really play guitar.

He sure can! My brother got me his album 461 Ocean Boulevard for Christmas a couple years ago and I loved it. Great cover of Bob Marley’s I Shot The Sheriff too.
I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

I’ve never actually heard any of his music :/ but I’ve heard him play on songs by the Beatles/John/George and I’ve been very impressed so far.

His solo work is generally pretty good, but I wouldn’t make it a priority over Bowie or Pink Floyd.

My entire family is walking around singing ‘Calico Skies’ because I went and got it stuck in everyone’s heads. (Especially mine.)
