Just discovered this album, really digging it. A must for fans of Portishead, Massive Attack, Björk and Aphex Twin.
I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

I still can’t believe he waited for (about) ten frickin’ years to release this song. I just don’t get it.
I love it.
Also, every time he sings about upsetting the applecart, my mind immediately goes to the Rutles.

^I always preferred the rocked-up version that the Beatles originally did — it seemed to suit the vitriol of the song better. It’s interesting to hear, though, how he mellowed out after eleven years, with the released version on the album being nearly soporific, it’s so laid-back.
Currently listening to ‘Tomorrow’ from Wild Life by Wings. I the second side of this record

‘It’s All Too Much ‘. I almost forgot it existed, it’s been forever since I listened to it, until last night ‘Sorrow’ (the Bowie cover) was going through my head and I remembered that the Beatles used the ‘long blonde hurrrr and eyes of blewwww’ line in this song.
I have vivid memories of jamming to it as an eight-year-old. Magical memories. The Beatles are the best part of my childhood

It’s All Too Much is a completely fantastic song, I love it to pieces. Have an
Myself, I’m listening to Blow Away. This song is extra special because it’s the Harrisong that got me into solo George. My “Beatles only” policy about music used to exclude solo Beatles (with a few exceptions, I’d never say no to Imagine ) and I heard Blow Away on the Beatles radio and I thought “oh, this is really nice” and the rest is history.

@Shamrock Womlbs not sure if that was addressed to me, but given that my post was about another trip hop artist I’ll assume it was: I haven’t heard that specific album, but the soundtrack Air did for the remastered version of A Trip to the Moon was great, should I check it out?

Rubber Soul , for the first time in too long. I’ve been so obsessed with solo George lately that I’ve kind of been neglecting the Beatles so this is my effort to fix that.

Steven Wilson’s all-time favourite album, Zeit by Tangerine Dream. So far, it’s interesting but I’m not sure why he likes it so much…

Before: Rubber Soul , Past Masters Vol. 1, Please Please Me , George Harrison
Currently: Living In The Material World (Give Me Love at the moment)
Next: 33 1/3, George Harrison (yes i am listening to it twice), Brainwashed
After my daily dosage of Beatles, it’s time for a Harrisong binge as I struggle through my math homework.

Welp, I reached the end of my playlist…
and now I’m listening to Deep Blue
because all the George that I have is not enough George for me…
Now to decide which album to listen to next…
