To all of you saying you’ve never had music make you cry. You need to hear Paul’s Little Willow, it was originally written about Maureen, Ringo’s wife, who died from cancer.
ASJ you know I’ve heard that one and the first time I almost cried (or maybe I did… can’t remember) but it was that fecking video that pushed me over the edge (though I’m sure the song helped). Those bloody kids with their drawings, curse them
Since then I’ve listened to/sang the song many times and that’s probably diluted its power somewhat. Here Today I only play/listen to on 8 December though and I often start to choke up when singing it.
Children’s choruses I find a bit tear-jerking as well, for some reason. I guess that’s why Happy Xmas almost does it for me.

It was the ending that did it for me… I didn’t quite cry, but I was very close.

The greatest musical masterpiece since the turn of the century, aka Brainwashed. Looking For My Life ended as I typed this and now I’m on to The Rising Sun, which may or may not be the best song on the album.
Edit: Scratch that, I’m listening to Marwa Blues and there’s no way The Rising Sun is better than this.

I finished Brainwashed but wanted to listen to more George and then remembered that Brainwashed is the only George album I have. I reaaaaaally need to change that sometime soon. In the meantime I’m listening to my November 29th playlist. Savoy Truffle is currently playing, the guitar is divine.

I’d recommend something a bit different – Thirty Three and a Third?

Currently going through Sleater-Kinney’s discography. I remembered loving Dig Me Out a couple years ago, having recognised the tribute to the Kinks’ album Kontroversy on the album cover, and its every bit as good as I remembered. ‘One More Hour’, ‘Little Babies’ and ‘Buy Her Candy’ are my favourites.
A must-listen for any punk fan and/or any feminist music fan.
I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

I’m hoping to get one of or both of the box sets sometime in the near future. But thanks, I’ll keep that in mind!
And to keep from derailing, The Inner Light .

I’ve been listening to my Nov. 29 playlist nonstop over the past couple days. I just finished The Rising Sun, and Don’t Bother Me started. Hell of a strange transition but somehow I love it

Listening to Savoy Truffle (yet again) and I just noticed a line I’d never really heard properly before: “Coconut fudge really blows down those blues.” A really incredibly lyric if you ask me.
Love one another.

Aw thanks! I spoke nothing but the truth.
Currently listening to Never Get Over You. SO GOOD
For some reason whenever I put my George playlist on shuffle, Brainwashed is the last song. It’s very strange.
EDIT: ^Haha never mind, I just started the playlist over again with a fresh shuffle and guess which song was the first to play…
@All Things Must Pass what do you think of Between The Devil And The Deep Blue Sea? It’s one of my very favorites

Just heard Rinse The Raindrops for the first time. I didn’t expect to like it, but I did.
By the way @Beatlebug I just saw someone wearing a Led Zeppelin shirt and I thought of you

Rinse The Raindrops is a good song. If the rest of Driving Rain could pull off what is happening on Rinse The Raindrops it would be a pretty decent album.
