Different grooves. Can’t see any Frank Ocean songs actually fitting in on Pet Sounds. Come on man.I’m listening to the Imagine outtakes and alternate mixes. I’m reading the book from the box set and will watch the studio footage afterward.
It’s just the vibe I get from it, gives me a similar feeling you know?
I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

I get good vibes from both Pet Sounds and Blond, but I also get the vibe that Pet Sounds is on an entirely different level.

Listening to The Byrds, Ballad of Easy Rider. Heard some Bob Dylan earlier. Before that, Pink Floyd.
Did you know Bobby wrote most of Ballad of Easy Rider but didn’t want the credit?

I’m on to Drive My Car / The Word / What You’re Doing Remix and while it is very strange and confusing it’s pleasantly surprising how much the Drive My Car bassline works with What You’re Doing .

Care Of Cell 44 again, doing my first-ever listen through of Odyssey and Oracle. I love how it’s just a nice normal song and then it’s like, “Wait … prison?”

Look at you, willingly listening to not-Beatles! Hope you can forgive yourself…
(O&O is a fine album!)

Why thank you! I know, I was shocked too. It is good, isn’t it? My favorites are Care Of Cell 44, A Rose For Emily, and Time Of The Season. As for forgiving myself… I’m drowning my inner voice (which is screaming insults and calling me a traitor and weeping uncontrollably) out with some nice soothing Rubber Soul .
