SpecialCup said @Penny Lane , great song! — I love Peter Greenbeatlemaniacs_02_gifbeatlemaniacs_02_gif

Yep Special Cup, I love Peter Green and the early Fleetwood Mac albums best of all (with the exception of  Rumours).

Different subject and the Clash track, I probably play the most:

Right now Listening/watching to  Memo from Turner, from the film Performance, filmed in 1968,  Warner Bros were expecting a slightly edgier version of A Hard Day’s Night .paul-mccartney-facepalm_gif Finally released in 1970, this version has Ry Cooder on guitar and Merry Clayton’s backing vocals (she of Gimme Shelter). The closing scene is  very like a nightmarish Francis Bacon painting:

Currently listening to “Andy’s Dinosaur Adventures”, thanks to my children who are watching it on Cbeebies iPlayer.

Music wise, I was listening to Levelling the Land by The Levellers earlier today. It’s a sunny day here (for once!) and that’s the perfect album for listening to in the sunshine. Well, I wasn’t actually in the sunshine, I was working in my studio, but I could see the sun out of my window!!

@Hippymama: Does that album have What A Beautiful Day on it? That would be quite appropriate if it does paul-mccartney-thumb_gif

Nope, it doesn’t, @Father McKenzie. That’s from ’97’s Mouth to Mouth. From ’91, Levelling the Land has two of my favourites of theirs – One Way

(many happy memories of singing along to that one at festivals) and the magnificent 15 Years

Used to hang out quite a lot with them down in Brighton at around that time.

I absolutely LOVE “One Way”, it’s a good rule for life I think!heart I had it blasting out and was singing along very badly to it yesterday. Luckily I don’t have neighbours (I live on a farm) so they don’t have to listen to me paul-mccartney-thumb_gif

I'm like Necko only I'm a bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin and also everyone. Or is everyone me? Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe.  This has been true for 2016 & 2017 Sig-Badge.png but I may have to get more specific in the future.

It’s almost 5am here and I’ve been woken up for the second morning on the trot by a pheasant standing under my window and calling to his pheasant friends! I’m now listening to him and my kids snoring. Their daddy is working nights so they decided to sleep in my bed last night. They’ve slept well. Me? Not quite as well!!
