I can’t get enough of it a-hard-days-night-paul-7 Does that mean I’m hopelessly vain a-hard-days-night-ringo-14 or is it just a highly satisfactory piece of work a-hard-days-night-john-1?

I hereby dedicate Love Is All Around to @meanmistermustard.

Rumor has that all of the cool people in Scotland attended this event (lets see if we can spot mmm in the crowd). The band even segues into The Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond at the end of the song, which gave me a little thrill even though I’m of Irish descent.

It’s written on the wind, it’s everywhere I go
So if you really love me, come on and let it show

I am currently listening to Neil Young’s Unplugged version of Like a Hurricane on his remarkable (relatively new – 1 December last year) official site, The Neil Young Archives. Now The Needle and the Damage Done. The most remarkable official artist site EVER!!! If you’re interested in Neil Young, or what an official artist website could be, I recommend taking a look. You have to sign up with your email to take a look, but it is free at the moment, but will become subscription.

Worth exploring what an artist with a bit imagination can do.

The majority of his albums are up, with more added all the time, including unreleased material, all the time – and it streams at Master quality if your set up can take up – mine can, or 320.

Amazing site, can’t rave about it enough, and great that it’s free at the mo.

All those Neil Young tracks I only have mp3s that I can replace with Master with a little audacity! a-hard-days-night-george-10

Neil Diamond has openly stated he hates how music is shared/listened to online as the quality is s**t (all his opinion).

Ron, I take it your last comment is not at all serious as it would go totally against the point of such a site.

mccartney-shrug_01_gif When you’re on PAYG data, you save however you can, @meanmistermustard. And I take it you were meaning Neil Young and not Diamond always complains about digital music, he says that mp3s give you between 5% and 20% of the actual audio, so he’s using his own Xstream to offer it at the highest resolution possible…

Personally never been about the lossless HQ audio formats. File size is too large. I can listen to songs just fine as mp3.

I had a bunch of files as uncompressed .wavs for a while, they took up loads of space on my device. I replaced them with mp3s recently: my ears are just as happy and my device is practically lighter now* a-hard-days-night-john-6

Currentish listenings:
Was: Please Please Me – The Beatles (1963)
Am:

*Actually, right this minute, it’s very light because it’s in several pieces due to replacing the screen.

Because of my sound production classes, I can now hear the difference between mp3s and wavs. I’m never going back to mp3s, the extra space is so worth it.

But if you can’t hear the difference, definitely use mp3s for space saving.
