I love it when a random forum post reminds me to listen to a cool record that I haven’t played in too long a time! (Thanks to @Necko on the “Turn it up/down” thread for this one.) This album incorporates psychedelicized avant-garde countrified rock with some Zappaesque weirdness and a whole ton of vintage 1968 Moog…and the lyrics and melodies and singing aren’t bad at all (except when they’re deliberately trying for badness, which isn’t often)

I love this album. Can’t You Hear Me Knocking might be the most badass song ever.
Agree. Good pick. Mick Taylor really shines, to take nothing away from Bobby Keys. This one, to my mind, stands apart from everything else in their catalog.
