I always feel a little weird when I think about the Doors debut. Its one of the few albums my parents ever bought me and I’m sure they would have been freaked out by the lyrics to “The End “.

I love that track too, but YouTube can be confusing sometimes as it is from the Electric Warrior album. The photo is the very beautiful cover of The Slider album, one of my favourite album covers.
There is some dispute as to who took the photo, credit on the album goes to Ringo Starr , who was shooting the Born to Boogie doc at Lennon’s Tittenhurst place, but Toni Visconti has stated often he took it with Bolan’s camera that day. Either way it’s mesmirising. A close second would be the Warrior album cover by Hipgnosis. Just brilliant.
