@Thommo OH YEAHAs a supermassive Floyd nut, the reports of your explorations please me immensely. What do you think so far? Let me warn you, they don’t stay like that for very long.
I really enjoyed The Piper at the Gates of Dawn and think it is a fantastic debut album but found A Saucerful of Secrets a bit of a step down which is probably because of Barrett losing the plot and Waters and Wright having to step into the songwriting duties mostly.

Theres never enough Barrett to listen to. Luckily there are plenty of early takes and 3 solo albums from him.

Songs on shuffle… I got six songs in without a single Beatles track and I thought, ‘What’s up with that, I’d expect one by now since Beatles accounts for about half of my music collection’ and then I got four Beatles songs in a row.
Currently it’s Beware Of Darkness by L’Angelo Misterioso.

Michael Stipe’s 3-and-a-half song set for the Pathway to Paris climate change awareness concert at Carnegie Hall in NYC on 5 November. He starts with Nat “King” Cole’s Nature Boy, then a truncated version of Ringo’s It Don’t Come Easy (it kicks in at 3:24-ish but makes more sense with the preceding story that starts around 2:10-ish) followed by Photograph, with the set rounded off with the Velvets’ Sunday Morning.
Great job, Michael! Loving the Ringo love!
