Gee that makes me sad.
I just finished Revolver . What a masterpiece.
Though I don’t think HTAE should come after LYT.

I like the contrast. Love You To is so eerie, a love-ish song but quite dwells on mortality and weird junk, and then HT&E is a breath of fresh air and kind of speaks for the eternality (not a word you say? Well ) of love.
Currently listening to this, in honour of Rick Wright’s birthday:

Did/are you enjoying it?
It was great. Like a quick rundown of the whole discography. I’m happy that it’s the last Beatles thing I’ll listen to in 2 years.

Why would you not listen to the full version instead?

I decided to make an alternate version for @The Hole Got Fixed because he gave me the idea after talking about doing something similar himself.
Here’s how it goes just in case if you’re curious.
Album version:
Piano solo, Verse 1, Bridge 1, Verse 2, Guitar solo 1, Bridge 2, Verse 3, Guitar solo 2
Alternate mix:
Piano solo, Verse 1, Bridge 1, Verse 2A, Verse 2B, Verse 3B, Guitar solo 1 (fades out halfway through)

Cool! I have a friend who is a fan of Evanescence.
Currently listening to this fantastic live performance of ‘The Groove’ — it’s better than the recording. That guitar solo, in particular, is wizard.

Martha, Beatlebug, The Hole Got FixedI've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

There are so many emotions in those two songs! In the right mood, both of them can easily make me tear up.
I’m currently listening to the Rain Song and outside it’s also raining and it’s dark, that’s simply the perfect atmosphere for the song. Every time this slide from the note Bb to A comes it sends shivers down my spine because this ingenious music describes the feeling one has alone in the rain in unison with nature so very, very accurately. What a masterpiece of a song!

QuarryMan, Beatlebug, WeepingAtlasCedarsNot once does the diversity seem forced -- the genius of the record is how the vaudevillian "When I'm 64" seems like a logical extension of "Within You Without You" and how it provides a gateway to the chiming guitars of "Lovely Rita. - Stephen T.
