??? I quite agree with both of those statements, SG!

There`s another Whirring Computer Fans? Maybe there was sampling involved. a-hard-days-night-george-10

Yep i’ve always loved them! Good to see another Radiohead fan on herea-hard-days-night-george-9 I always find it hard to rank their albums but i’d probably put Kid A as my favourite because of how revolutionary and weird it is. In Rainbows is probably the most consistently brilliant album i’ve ever heard though! I’m one of those fans who really loves the King of Limbs, it’s criminally underrated.
I’ve seen them live 4 times already and will be seeing them again on the 4th & 7th July paul-mccartney

Yes, I completely agree, this sentence could’ve also come from me, Feral, for instance, is so mindblowing with the complex percussion structure! (And Amnesiac is also really underrated) Enjoy the concerts in July, I hope I can see them live one day, too!

Anyway, I’m feeling a little guilty of derailing this thread right now, so here’s what I’m currently listening to:

A list of songs that were recommended in the Turn it Up or Down thread. I love the diversity of different tastes on this forum which is represented quite well in this thread, I think!

Tim Buckley – Monterey

Bee Gees – Staying Alive

The Beatles – Flying

Bonzo Dog Band – Rhinocratic Oaths

Pink Floyd – Lucifer Sam

Migos ft Lil Uzi Vert – Bad and Boujee

Van Halen – I’m the One

Carey – Joni Mitchell

Pink Floyd – Another Brik on the Wall played on Shittyflutes

Matti Groves – Fairport Convention

David Bowie – Changes

The Temptations – Ol’ Man River

Bob Dylan – Baby Please Don’t Go

The United States Of America – Hard Coming Love

Beach Boys – I Get Around

The Beatles – I’m Only Sleeping

The Band – Stage Fright

Bob Dylan – Heartbreak Hotel (16/8/09)

The Beatles – Revolution 9

Foghat – Slow Ride

Pink Floyd – Money

Penderecki – Threnody

Boston-Something about you

Von Bontee – Hiroshima

Count me as another King of Limbs lover lol. Very underrated album by their fanbase. In the other hand, i find their last release, aswell as In Rainbows both vastly overrated.

Since i’m from Argentina i will post some songs of local artists. Have you ever listened some spanish rock? From my country and since here we all love Beatles, I recommend you to check the great body of work of both Luis Alberto Spinetta and Charly García.  Once you get used to listen rock music in other language (spanish in this case) i assure you that you will love the stuff.

Spinetta – Todas Las Hojas son del viento (All the leaves are from the wind), from his 1973’s masterpiece Artaud:

Charly García – Promesas sobre el bidet (Promises on the bidet), from Piano Bar (1984):

Enjoy, and if you liked it, i could post dozens of masterpieces from these two legends, some of them sharing clearly influences from The Beatles.

30 Trips Around The Sun – 9/10/91

Cool use of the sax played by Brandord Marsalis. I rarely hear them incorporate the instrument, but It adds a cool touch to some songs.

"The pump don't work cause the vandals took the handles!"

-Bob Dylan, Subterranean Homesick Blues

"We could ride and surf together while our love would grow"

I know. I didn’t buy it at first and then it wasn’t at the shop for weeks. There was finally a copy there, but I turned it down in favor of a Beatles record. Then it was gone the next time I went. I’m snatching the next copy I see. Yesterday I told the Vegas Vinyl owner to hold the next descent copy he gets for me.

That’s the first song:

Not once does the diversity seem forced -- the genius of the record is how the vaudevillian "When I'm 64" seems like a logical extension of "Within You Without You" and how it provides a gateway to the chiming guitars of "Lovely Rita. - Stephen T. Erlewine on Sgt Pepper's

@Dark Overlord, I moved post 7924, 7926, and 7927 over to this thread. WSC let me know had accidentally posted the first comment in the Please Please Me thread thinking he was in the What Are You Listening To thread. So anyway, if you want to edit this post you made in comment to the misplaced conversation https://www.beatlesbible.com/f…..m/#p268119 feel free to.

Not listened to these in order for so long I’ve forgotten the running order to the point I forgot ‘From Us To You’ was on it and thought the album went ‘Beatle Greetings’, ‘I Got A Woman ‘, ‘Keep Your Hands Off My Baby’, ‘Too Much Monkey Business’. I also have the BBC tracks from the Official ’63 Bootleg or whatever it was called as part of the same album so will also be listening to those.

Elton John – Goodbye Yellow Brick Road

such a great song.

I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.
