@WeepingAtlasCedars Tame Impala are an amazing band and quite Beatle-esque at times. You should check out their newest album ‘Currents’, particularly the song ‘Let It Happen’.
I’ve been listening to Radiohead OK Computer 20th Anniversary edition. Got it on vinyl the other day.
One of the greatest albums of all time by my second favourite band (after the Beatles). A lot of the album was inspired by the Beatles.
This track is great:

Oh, you’re a Radiohead fan, @Flyingbrians? Me too! In Rainbows is on my top ten favourite albums of all time! OK Computer is my second favourite album by them! I love how they create whole worlds with all their layers of sound!

Yep i’ve always loved them! Good to see another Radiohead fan on here I always find it hard to rank their albums but i’d probably put Kid A as my favourite because of how revolutionary and weird it is. In Rainbows is probably the most consistently brilliant album i’ve ever heard though! I’m one of those fans who really loves the King of Limbs, it’s criminally underrated.
I’ve seen them live 4 times already and will be seeing them again on the 4th & 7th July

Yes, I completely agree, this sentence could’ve also come from me, Feral, for instance, is so mindblowing with the complex percussion structure! (And Amnesiac is also really underrated) Enjoy the concerts in July, I hope I can see them live one day, too!
Anyway, I’m feeling a little guilty of derailing this thread right now, so here’s what I’m currently listening to:

^ i never went any further than Pablo honey, which was a terrific debut album.
I think i gave a couple of listens to The Bends , and then lost interest in Ok Computer.
I guess someday i’ll dive into their stuff and see what happens.

“That” album cover did a lot to establish the mysterioso mythology of Led Zeppelin to 12-year old vonbontee when it first appeared in record stores…because it DIDN’T appear in record stores at all! There were six different covers to that album, all photographs of the same dismal barroom scene taken from different povs (google search ’em all!), and they were all enclosed in a brown paper bag which was then shrink wrapped so you had no idea which cover you’d get! And then when you finally bought it, the inner sleeve was a b&w etching that acquired colours if you added water to it!
(Actual album’s still possibly the weakest Zeppelin album, most fans would agree, due largely to Jimmy Page being a heroin-soaked mess throughout its creation, but it’s still got its moments of greatness)

I really like In Through the Out Door: Although it isn`t the strongest album, I love how much room it gives John Paul Jones to shine.
I’ve been thinking of trying to collect all of the covers, but I might not be able to find them all, judging by the fact that I can’t remember seeing any copies as of yet.

Yeah, that’s just how I feel about it too. I see JPJ as sort of the Harrison of the band, or the Richard Wright, so I like that he kind of has ‘his’ Zeppelin album too.*

Haha, what a coincidence! I’m listening to the very similar Whirring Computer Fans by SG’s Laptop!
*A Zepp album is a Zepp album, but some albums showcase one band member more than others, you know? And it’s the one you go to when you’re particularly in the mood to worship that member primarily.
