I’ve never listened to a Paul solo song and wished for a harmony vocal from George and John. I have listened to solo songs and wished one of them was there to say it’s awful and should be binned, however.
Paul agrees with you…

I probably was, but the music was so evocative, I forgot.
It’s Sgt Pepper right now. I’ve been on a bit of a Pepper kick since the anniversary.

Oh, yes, me too!
I’ve totally forgotten how much I love every single track (and the unification of all these tracks even more)!

I’ve been there so many times. I found the offical release split into two casettes at a record store and I could not stop listening.

But The Beatles is 93:35, did you cut anything off of it to fit or did you slightly speed it up or did you do something else.

I would’ve taken out everything after the final chorus of Cry Baby Cry and replaced it with Hey Jude , but that works too as long as the speed up isn’t too noticeable.

@Dark Overlord THGF is right, I sped it up slightly, although the tape holds a bit more than 90 minutes. The audio files on my computer add up to 92 minutes. The tape might actually be able to hold the real speed, but I haven’t tested it.
Also replacing the last two songs with Hey Jude would make it no longer the White Album , and calling it the White Album would be a LIE!

You could’ve called it The Beatles Directors Cut or The Off White Album instead of The Beatles.

Finally getting round to listening to this
I’m a Pink Floyd fan but have only heard a few of the better known tracks from The Wall. People I know who are into Pink Floyd don’t rate it highly but I want to at least give it a chance.
I’ve been listening to quite a bit of jazz recently, specifically stuff by Charles Mingus and Theolonious Monk.
Been loving this album + track:

I’ve been trying to like it for a long time. My granddad just gave it to me so I have an even better excuse to learn to love it. I do like many parts of it, but I haven’t listened to it enough to truly get into it.
Out of the Floyd fans I know here and on the Pink Floyd Sound forum, Evangeline hates it and @pepperland, @WeepingAtlasCedars, and @sir walter raleigh love it. I’m still on the fence. I do think it’s their last great album; but I still prefer their early- and mid-era stuff. That stuff just has an atmospheric quality that I don’t get from much else.

Personally, I’ve not listened to the album enough times to have a clear opinion about it but one of my classmates who is a Floyd fan himself considers it their best album because he loves the story and the way it is expressed musically so much.
Currently listening to something that always makes me shiver:
