Recorded September 20, 1963…and it seems that every time Jackie records an album, all four Beatles go on holidays!

The sound of me clicking at my keyboard, it’s so quiet right now that I can hear the keyboard clicks pretty clearly.

Ooh, fantastic piece! So many bands have “borrowed” from “Mars”

Listening to Q100 Atlanta’s pop station because it plays all day at work. I seriously think they have a catalog of 6 songs that cycle on repeat. Kill me please. I would honestly rather hear both Unfinished Music albums back to back on repeat than this. The best part of my day is the commercial breaks.

If I were you, I’d put on some headphones and listen to some Beatles or if you want some more variety, listen to a classic rock station. If I had to listen to the same 6 talentless pop hits non stop, I think my brain would fly away like when Ned Flanders was talking to Homer Simpson about apple cider. I hope your area has more than 1 rock station because if your classic rock station plays a song like Don’t Stop Belevin’, chances are you’ll want to change it to something else.

I’ve already gotten in trouble for listening to my own music on headphones.

@Evangeline is a big Moodys fan. And I’ve praised “Days of Future Passed” many times on this forum…it’s a concept album whose sound you can just luxuriate in, like “Dark Side Of The Moon” or something…

To be fair, I haven’t really listened to a lot of their solo material.

Anyways, one of the main reasons why I think their solo careers suck when compared to The Beatles is because one of my favorite things about The Beatles is their 3 part harmonies. No one was better at making great 3 part harmonies than John, Paul, and George, just listen to a song like Nowhere Man or Because , those 3 part harmonies are so beautiful, I can’t think of a single forum member who would disagree with that but as solo artists, you can’t have those lush beautiful 3 part harmonies The Beatles did so well and intricately because you need John, Paul, and George, to get them right.

Absolutely agree with this…Even though being part of this forum led me to investigate more of the solo careers than I previously had, and even though I discovered a quantity of great stuff I’d previously overlooked, I can never help thinking how much better the best of it would’ve sounded with J/P/G chiming in

We have a thread somewhere or other about missing the harmonies. Agree entirely.

But to say that the solo music sucks is a bit strong. Sure we can wish that they’d never broken up, but they made really great music after the breakup that can’t be dismissed because it isn’t the full band.

I’ve never listened to a Paul solo song and wished for a harmony vocal from George and John. I have listened to solo songs and wished one of them was there to say it’s awful and should be binned, however.
