Just listened to Sgt. Pepper , the video I used sounded like it had bad audio quality although I think they just boosted the bass.

@Beatlebug, It had been a couple of months since I had last heard it because I was saving it for today, but when the new box set arrived, I couldn’t resist downloading the CDs and hearing it.
What did you think about waiting until Sgt. Pepper day to listen to it?

Brilliant. I’ve heard it so many time over the years that I really needed that two months’ break from it to listen to it fully once again. I do recommend it for any important album anniversaries.

Just finished wishing Mr Pepper a happy birthday with a ceremonious listen in glorious stereo. Now I’m trawling through their early catalogue starting with A Hard Day’s Night . Man, I forgot how great Any Time At All was.

Ahhh Girl, Beatlebug, WeepingAtlasCedars, SgtPeppersBulldog, MarthaI've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

Even Within You Without You sounded OK because I got into the mindset of ‘this is the anniversary. I must enjoy this!’
How did you cope, @Beatlebug? 2 whole months!

Lots of Pink Floyd.
That, and I’ve heard it enough times that it’s gotten imprinted into my DNA, so I didn’t actually miss it that much unless someone started talking about Fixing A Hole or Lovely Rita — until I heard it again, that is.
Edit: This post was, if you haven’t inferred as much, in reply to Holey’s question in the post above. I realised upon re-reading it that it could be interpreted as an answer to the question posed in the thread title (‘What are you listening to right now?’ ‘Lots of Pink Floyd…’) and, while that may be accurate overall, it wasn’t true in this instance.

A most remarkable cover by Micky Dolenz in 2011…

Oh! Feck! Sorry for the double, but The Who at Shepperton on 21 July 1978…
Crap quality, but my heart beat faster with joy…

Recorded April 1, 1960…Beatles plant story in The Guardian suggesting that Paul is dead. Story gains no traction, largely because absolutely nobody knows who Paul McCartney is
