I just saw this CD in a record store and I thought of you, @Beatlebug. I actually like the song Super Massive Black Hole, although its the only song I’ve heard from the album.
I am listening to Triplicate by Bob Dylan

What a coincidence! I’m also listening to Triplicate at the moment!
Right now, I’m at How Deep Is The Ocean. Such a warm voice

Beatlebug, sir walter raleighNot once does the diversity seem forced -- the genius of the record is how the vaudevillian "When I'm 64" seems like a logical extension of "Within You Without You" and how it provides a gateway to the chiming guitars of "Lovely Rita. - Stephen T. @Dark Overlord I’m not particularly erudite on genres, but I’d consider it hard rock.
Now listening to @MrMoonlight’s cover of Pink Floyd’s ‘Echoes’. It’s quite good.

For all you Dark side of the moon lovers, you might like to try this. Try to reproduce Pink floyd’s album and this video:
At the same time. Synchronized.
I do not like DSOTM and i don’t own it in any kind of format but, if you do, i think this might be an interesting thing to do.
I listened to the whole thing and quite enjoyed it, though.

Great album. When you’re done, you can tell us what genre you consider it. I consider this album, as well as Led Zeppelin in general, hard rock, but I’ve heard people call it heavy metal, blues rock, and even classic rock.
Classic rock isn’t really a music genre. It’s more like a radio format.

Then what genre are we going to label songs like Hotel California and Saturday Night’s Alright For Fighting as.
Rock, because that’s what genre they’ve always been in.

They can be more than one genre – “The Battle of Evermore” is certainly played on classic rock radio, even though it’s more of an English folk ballad

There are many songs that aren’t classic rock that are played on classic rock radio, whether it be heavy metal songs like Iron Man, hard rock songs like Back In Black or Stairway To Heaven, glam rock songs like Changes or Bohemian Rhapsody, progressive rock songs like Tom Sawyer and Time, and there’s even a classic rock station that I listen to that plays grunge like Smells Like Teen Spirit.
If you're reading this, you are looking for something to do.

Yeah, exactly. But like Necko said, we’re really talking about more of a marketing format than a genre.
Every Now And Then , somebody like, I dunno…Lenny Kravitz comes along with a sound that’s seemingly tailored for the format.
Anyways…currently listening to

Captain Fantastic & The Brown Dirt Cowboy. Genre: Mellow Classic Rock? I’m thinking classic rock has evolved into an actual genre.
