I find this already an impressive achievement @The Hole Got Fixed! The closest I ever came to a Beatles marathon was, uhm, two albums?!(pathetic…)
Anyway, I’ve always thought that one can not appreciate the music so much anymore after a while when listening too long because one gets a bit tired. Have you experienced that too or did you have any other interesting insights into some pieces after having heard them in context?

BeatlebugNot once does the diversity seem forced -- the genius of the record is how the vaudevillian "When I'm 64" seems like a logical extension of "Within You Without You" and how it provides a gateway to the chiming guitars of "Lovely Rita. - Stephen T. Erlewine on Sgt Pepper's

Oh boy, has it enlightened me! I’m on Hey Jude (5.5 tracks to go!), but I’ve heard them progress, get new ideas, Ringo find new patterns, etc. I’ve always had a high tolerance for listening to music endlessly, so that helps!
I do highly recommend doing this at some stage when you have 10 hours free. Though I had to pause I’m Looking Through You and Sea Of Monsters for the doorbell, and I had to stop at the end of Maggie Mae for dinner for 30 minutes, but otherwise…
Very enjoyable day. You definitely need to improve on two albums!

Very impressive @The Hole Got Fixed maybe I should try doing one of these marathons, got to think of the right time though although unlike you, Billy Shears, and sir walter raleigh, I would put Yellow Submarine before The Beatles, as well as not listening to side B or Yellow Submarine a second time.
Here’s a proposed order for anyone who wants to do this in the future, this order displays The Beatles progression better than the Apple canon:
Anna (Go To Him)
P.S. I Love You
Money (That’s What I Want)
I’m Happy Just To Dance With You
Mr. Moonlight
Kansas City / Hey, Hey, Hey, Hey
I Don’t Want To Spoil The Party
Everybody’s Trying To Be My Baby
Help !
You’ve Got To Hide Your Love Away
You’re Going To Lose That Girl
Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)
Girl
She Said, She Said
Sgt. Pepper ‘s Lonely Hearts Club Band
With A Little Help From My Friends
Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite!
When I’m Sixty Four
Good Morning, Good Morning
Sgt. Pepper ‘s Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise)
Baby, You’re A Rich Man
Back In The U.S.S.R.
The Continuing Story Of Bungalow Bill
Why Don’t We Do It In The Road?
Everybody’s Got Something To Hide Except Me And My Monkey
I Want You (She’s So Heavy)
Mean Mr. Mustard
She Came In Through The Bathroom Window
You Know My Name (Look Up The Number)

How did you listen to this stuff The Hole Got Fixed, was it online, CD’s, vinyl, etc., I’m curious. Also, I think it’s odd that you listened to Yellow Submarine twice but skipped by the Past Masters versions of those 4 songs, despite the versions on Past Masters being alternates and Yellow Submarine being the same on both albums. I also think it’s interesting that you played Yellow Submarine after The Beatles, but I guess it’s personal preference.

Those 4 songs aren’t on Past Masters . Unreleased mono mixes of each do appear on Mono Masters.

Ron Nasty, when I said those 4 songs, I was referring to the single versions of Love Me Do , Across The Universe , Let It Be , and Get Back , which The Hole Got Fixed claims he didn’t listen to because he’s already heard them despite him listening to the same version of Yellow Submarine twice.

If going chronologically in terms of release date then the ‘Yellow Submarine ‘ songs follow ‘The Beatles’ despite it being recorded before.
If going truly by song recorded date then you’d be having to butcher ‘Let It Be ‘ due to some being from January 1969 and others being finished, for lack of a better word, later on.

Actually, when you think about it, the Yellow Submarine songs were released before The Beatles because the movie which contains the 4 new songs was released on July 13th, 1968 whereas The Beatles wasn’t released until November 22nd, 1968 and also, I think Yellow Submarine is the prefect gap in-between the psychedelic childish Magical Mystery Tour and the grown up classic rock The Beatles.
Also, you could say that Let It Be should be put before Abbey Road for similar reasons but unlike Yellow Submarine and The Beatles, part of Let It Be was recorded after Abbey Road (to be precise, 5 out of 12 tracks, I Me Mine in it’s entirety, an almost complete reworking of Let It Be, rerecorded vocals to For You Blue , the orchestration of Across The Universe and The Long And Winding Road ) and also unlike Yellow Submarine , unless if you count the Kum Back bootleg, the only track from Let It Be that was released before Abbey Road was Get Back .

CDs that I ripped onto my computer for ease of access.
I was initially going to skip Yellow Submarine and All You Need Is Love from YS, as I’d heard them before, but because the White Album bored me to tears (cue Billy Shears saying why), I needed some good stuff again!

If starting on the film releases are you going to include all the material in the ‘Let It Be ‘ film? It becomes so tediously complicated the more you get involved.

Not necessary because the film wasn’t released until after the album came out. My easiest preferred orders to follow (I have a few) is the UK canon, but place Yellow Submarine before The Beatles and remove the B side, as well as the repeat of Yellow Submarine and All You Need Is Love .

Just in case you don’t understand, let me explain. If we go by release order, Yellow Submarine still goes before The Beatles because of the movie. Sorry if I was unclear about this point.

For a real challenge include all solo albums in the order. It increases the length 6x, and includes some albums that are utter s***e, but most are top notch.
