Have you checked around on the Internet to see if they’re first pressing (just to make sure)?

No, I mean like an Apple SWBO-101 pressing with a number and everything. (I don’t know if that’s what you meant).

Most record store owners will try to sell ones with really beat up jackets and no poster/pictures for at least 40$. Originals that still have the poster and the photos are even more expensive.

To be honest, all these different reissues confuse me at times.

I would try to explain them to you. But this thread is really getting off-topic.

The Nile Song. A rather heavy Pink song.

@William Shears Campbell inspired me to listen to Birthday . Because he had one yesterday (or two days ago, depending on where you live/time zones). Gee the piano is being hit hard! I’ve never noticed that before.

I’m listening to Turnstiles by Billy Joel on vinyl.

Image Enlarger

I didn’t notice this last time I played it, but my Turnstiles vinyl is a tad bit warped, however it plays just fine. I wonder if it’s last owner stored it on it’s sidea-hard-days-night-paul-10 tisk tisk tiska-hard-days-night-paul-5. It’s kinda funny to watch the needle go up and down on the wavy record.

Extra Texture .

I miss the LP version, the CD case has a sad lack of texture compared to the original LP release  😉

Started my alphabetical order playlist again today. I’ve gotten to the D’s

Got to P today. Some funny juxtapositions in there — Golden Slumbers followed by Good Morning Good Morning followed by Good Night , and the last crop I came upon:

Piggies – The Beatles

Pigs (Three Different Ones) – Pink Floyd

Pigs On The Wing – Pink Floyd

Pigs On The Wing (Part Two) – Pink Floyd

a-hard-days-night-john-6

@WeepingAtlasCedars quoth, even more aptly

@sir walter raleigh quoth, aptly
Silly Girl has identified with Pink Floyd more than anyone i’ve ever seen.

Sometimes I think Silly Girl has identified with Pink Floyd more than Pink Floyd has identified with Pink Floyd.

You are probably quite right, and I am truly honoured beatlemaniacs_02_gifheartheartheart

There’s something about the Floyd’s music that Speak(s) To Me on a different level than anything else I’ve ever heard. I sometimes feel that they’re the band I was always waiting for, that I was foreordained to meet and fall in love with them or somesuch nonsense like that… at any rate, they’re my favourite band in the universe, and that’s not an honour I confer lightly.

Emerson, Lake And Palmer. Their ridiculous Works (Vol. 1) album. Seriously weird. I mean, Keith Emerson wrote an entire freaking CONCERTO! (The only classical music I own.)

Not that many — only two hundred and thirty or thereabouts. I don’t have my complete Beatles/solo collection in mp3 format, y’see ahdn_paul_01 but I still have more by the Beatles than any other one artist on there a-hard-days-night-john-1 (though I think it evens out with that other band I was just raving about if you take into account the average length of a Pink Floyd song a-hard-days-night-george-10).

Sam Cooke wrote this in response to Bob’s The Times They Are a-Changin’, and so this is Bob singing a song he inspired.
