If you want recommendations, just PM me! You of course need to hear The Dark Side Of The Moon if you haven’t already, and knowing your love of all things 60s, I highly recommend their first album, The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn.
“Relics” is a good place to start too, since “See Emily Play” and “Arnold Layne” are two of their most poppy/accessible (Beatlesesque, even?) tracks, not to mention two of my favourites, and neither one on any studio album. Also it’s got “The Nile Song” (Floyd at their most metal, if that floats your boat) and “Interstellar Overdrive” (one of their great psychedelic landmarks).
Me? I’m listening to Eric Dolphy
Recorded February 25, 1964 (Big day for Beatles recordings! https://www.beatlesbible.com/1…..wn-better/ Also, Cassius Clay defeats Sonny Liston.)

If you must, make sure they’re grouped by album. Pink Floyd should never be listened to out of context!
Always! I can’t stand to separate songs like that; I just filter out any I really don’t like.
I once accidentally added a song to one of my my playlists in the wrong position and didn’t realise it until later, then scrolled through hundreds of songs just to fix that single mistake. I ended up getting distracted and listening to a bunch of songs on the playlist in the process, so it took me hours.
What I’m currently listening to is Steam Powered Giraffe’s discography. I’m in the Vice Quadrant album right now.

I, too, have joined the Necko Alphabetical Club!
Except that this is technically Silly Dad’s music collection, so I’m skipping things occasionally and not all my stuff is here… but it’s got most of the worthy ones, cos you see I inherit my awesome taste in music from my old man.

Severed Heads on NTS Radio, saved by someone on youtube. Heavenly avant-garde techno with an absurdist sense of humour.
I'm like Necko only I'm a bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin and also everyone. Or is everyone me? Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe. This has been true for 2016 & 2017 but I may have to get more specific in the future.

I am doing the alphabetical thing too. Figured I’d join the crowd.
The E’s have brought up these interesting back-to-back songs.
1. Early 1970 is followed by Early Days (the end goes back to the beginning *sniff*)

I tried going alphabetically, but when there are numerous songs that you have twenty or thirty versions of, it gets tough. When I get to the J’s I have to listen to the Get Back sessions, which is days and days of music.
I like to shuffle my ipod to get a more diverse range, but mostly I listen to albums.

That’s ironic. I’m listening to the same thing.
Have you heard the rest of the album, @Evangeline? From an objective viewpoint it’s probably not particularly impressive, but I absolutely love it.

I have the Small Faces ultimate collection on 2 CDs. Lazy Sunday is my favorite track of theirs so far.
BTW What’s the name of the song they did with kinda high pitched backing vocals? I like that one too…

Yes, I’ve heard it, quite a few times actually. I like it, it’s different. The story on side two is quite interesting in the way the music and the spoken parts interweave to create the plot.

I’m sure you’ll have a lot of other favorites when you’re finished. I’m Only Dreaming is one of my favourite songs by them. (Along with You Need Loving which Led Zeppelin got “inspiration” from.
Edit: SgtPepperBulldog, the song might be I Feel Much Better.

Yes!!! That’s it! There are so many tracks on both CDs, I can’t remember most of their names, apart from the odd few. And it also counts as what I’m listening to now.
