This super 80’s Paul album.  It’s such a shame the archive wasn’t released this year.

Lemme guess…Beatles, Kinks, America and…?

I Need You – The Beatles

I Need You – The Kinks

I Need You – Pat DiNizio

I Need You – The Who

(I’ve got three called “I Want You”…four if you count a certain Beatles song and disregard the parenthetical)

Is one of them Bob Dylan?

By the way, I came across a somewhat amusing alphabetical song foursome earlier today.

Summer’s Almost Gone – The Doors

Summer’s End – Foo Fighters

Summer’s Gone – The Beach Boys

Summer’s Gone – The Kinks

Ooh, forgot about The Who! Never woulda guessed DiNizio tho…my cousin’s a big Smithereens fan and we spoke to him after a concert in ’95. Cool guy!

And yeah…Dylan, Elvis Costello, The Troggs and The Knack. (Kiss too, I just remembered.) They all want you.

Although I listen to mostly iTunes music and vinyl, the website last.fm tracks your Spotify listening, and gives you the ability to create a 3×3 collage of your top listens for the week. This is mine.

3x3-9.jpegImage Enlarger

My friend’s Hip-Hop club at school does this through facebook, and since I rarely listen to hip-hop, I don’t really like sharing into their. Perhaps I’ll share it here from now on. If you listen on Spotify some of the time then I can tell you how to set it up.

‘Shine On You Crazy Diamond’ – Pink Floyd

Technically, it’s only playing in my head, but I can hear it in my mind’s ear so vividly that I thought it was as good as actually listening to it with my external ears.Too fab four you, sorry

I’ve been having a problem with McCartney earworms today… notably ‘Picasso’s Last Words’ and ‘Monkberry Moon Delight ‘. Trying to douse them with this:

No, consecutively.  Though, maybe I should try to listen to them simultaneously sometime.  There could be a PiD clue that comes to light when you listen to them at the same time.

I loooove “Picasso’s Last Words”!  Although I do love “What Is Life ” as well.  Have you ever heard the Weird Al cover?

It seems rather, well, subdued without the Wall Of Sound I’m expecting… ahdn_paul_01 it’s great, though! Shoot, I hope I sound that good when I sing it… a-hard-days-night-paul-7

‘Shine On’ is not a song, it’s a journey — a trip.

The Let It Be movie soundtrack I put together.  I really enjoy the “Besame Mucho ” version from the movie.  Paul’s Spanish singer is on point.

Starting on my wonderful Oxfam buy yesterday, which I paid £12 more than asked because they had it way underpriced, and it was still underpriced at the £30 I paid.

The Depeche Mode CD singles boxes. All six of them. Six singles in each. Their first thirty-six singles.

Except they’re not. They’re the deluxe versions of the singles that include all of the tracks spread across all formats.

So you start with the first single, 2 tracks, just over 7 minutes, but the number of tracks goes up until you’ve got 8-12 tracks, and “singles” that last forty minutes to an hour.

Total of 243 tracks lasting just under 23 hours.

Currently on single 12, Blasphemous Rumours/Somebody.

I may be a while. Damn good buy.

"I only said we were bigger than Rod... and now there's all this!" Ron Nasty
