I have my phone on shuffle, thus as I type this I am listening to Polythene Pam (though it just changed to Birthday ). Crucify me if you will, but I keep forgetting how much I like Polythene Pam . Which is a lot.

Strange World – Iron MaidenHuh, I never thought Maiden would do a Beach Boys cover
I’ll assume you’re joking, but just in case you’re not…
It’s a coincidence. Two different songs with the same name. Actually, the Iron Maiden song predates the Beach Boys song by about thirty years.

Yeah, terrible joek, sorry. (And yeah, I assumed the BBs song was much older) Obviously those sort of coincidences happen when you play your entire playlist alphabetically…
Listening to John Coltrane
Recorded August 26, 1965 (Beatles prepare to play Balboa Stadium in San Diego, a coupla days after taking acid with Peter Fonda and the Byrds!)(And a day before they meet The King)
Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

I have so many of songs with the same title but are different songs. Two of these are Ringo songs that have the same title as Beatles songs but are different songs.
I’m currently listening to Cloud 9 for the 3rd time this week.

Lemme guess…Beatles, Kinks, America and…?
(I’ve got three called “I Want You”…four if you count a certain Beatles song and disregard the parenthetical)
Now playing
Recorded October 8, 1965…Beatles presumably spend the day getting ready for a party the next day commemorating the opening of Lionel Bart’s musical “Twang” (and also John’s 25th birthday)

I can get the fourth… Taylor Swift
I was intrigued by your post since I don’t know of a Taylor Swift song titled “I Need You “. What I found was that there was a song called “I Need You ” by Taylor, and its similar to our favorite Beatles song, “Lies”. For those of you that don’t know what I’m talking about, “Lies” is a song that is not by the Beatles despite some sources saying so.
