I just listened to Flaming Pie by Billy Shears just now. I honestly love the album, I agree a few of the tracks drag a bit, but Calico Skies, Beautiful Night, and The Songs We Were Singing make up for it.
Now I’m listening to Attila by Attila(Billy Joel’s short lived heavy metal band)

Beyond the Blue Horizon – Michael Nesmith
Beyond the blue horizon
Waits a beautiful day
Goodbye to things that bore me
Joy is waiting for me
I see a new horizon
My life has only begun
Beyond the blue horizon
Lies a rising sun

Oh god, Justus is a good album. (I’m going off on the Monkees again.)Never Enough and You And I are great songs!
It used to bug me when a member had this band that they would frequently spout off about on the BB.
…Then Pink Floyd entered my life…
It makes me smile now, knowing someone is obsessed with a non-Beatles band as I am with the Floyd.

^^I’ve heard those two– loved the first, wasn’t so keen on the second.
Currently getting my daily Floyd fix with Obscured By Clouds— although I call it ‘Obscured by DSOTM’, as it was.

The propinquity effect is the tendency for people to form friendships or romantic relationships with those whom they encounter often, forming a bond between subject and friend.

Some Of Shelly’s Blues – Michael Nesmith.
I’ve been comparing the three versions; Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, First National Band, and the Monkees’ Missing Links recording. (It’s an interesting coincidence that Micky’s band before the Monkees was called the Missing Links.)
I rather dislike The Nitty Gritty one. I like both the other ones equally though.

‘Atom Heart Mother Suite’ – Pink Floyd
I used to wonder what the point of the song was, usually around the 11-minute mark when I was getting had been bored for some time already; now that I’m sure that there is none, I can happily enjoy it as background noise.
Note to self: This is pretty much the last song you’d want to use if trying to turn someone on to PF.
