Yes! I love that record! There are some really good, mellow tracks from that era of Floyd, like Fat Old Sun, A Pillow Of Winds, and San Tropez.
Those are good ones; I quite like Meddle too.
I really wish they stuck with that sorta post-psychedelic, chilled-out sound for longer than they did, but alas, Dark Side Of The Moon had to be made.
Alas… what a pity they had to make the best album they ever made (in my opinion)…
All Floyd is good Floyd, to my mind, except for Ummagumma.*
*Edit: And A Momentary Lapse Of Reason, apparently.

I dunno, I kinda dig parts of Ummagumma. But then again, I have a higher tolerance for Avant-Garde than most folks. That live disc is pretty good though.
As for their best album, Dark Side is a contender, but Animals is my favorite.
Soft Parade is over now, so I put on Close To The Edge by Yes

Oooh yes, I do like Animals.
What a sign-off from Syd. Class act.

That’s funny SG
If you think that’s funny, you can read More about how much I hated it somewhere on the Pink Floyd Sound forum (but I doubt you’d want to, as it’s a very negative post). I’m usually quite positive about things, especially albums by my favourite bands, but this one really turned me off. In my opinion, the album was a load of rubbish and a complete waste of ‘Time’, which I wouldn’t have listened to past the third track if I weren’t such a massive fan.
Now listening to some more rubbish– Atom Heart Mother — but at least it’s rubbish that I love.

Tell you the truth I’ve never made it through MLOR even once. What do you think, maybe Roger was running the show all along?
*Looks like a fun forum. I’m gonna give it a read through.
