^ I thought it was okay, yet I am a Kurt Cobain fangirl-boy thing. I really liked his cover of And I Love Her

Was going to say, I thought his version of “And I Love Her ” was both sad and haunting.

Page and Plant quietly acoustic live. I’m not sure what it’s all about but I like it. Planting perhaps.. 😉

The whole thing is great but the first one and a half minutes of Jimmy on his own are just sublime to me. Only Macca playing Blackbird live in that video (the one with the good shoes!) trumps it.

I forgot to say for guitar peeps, watch how he occasionally uses the plectrum (flat pick) and the fingers together (hybrid picking) on the close up. It’s in an open tuning too which lends itself to different sounds, not the obvious. Then there is that great ripping voice Robert Plant has.. All good!

Jeff Buckley – You and I. Newly released album of previously unreleased / unheard tracks. This man had such a gift.

I knew Jeff a little, @The Hippie Chick. A friend’s band supported him on his last UK tour. I have fond memories of sitting in dressing rooms and hotel rooms listening to him play anything and everything for hours on end. He truly was a wonderful and gifted man. You and I is a great album. I miss him. So much lost potential.
I am currently listening to a 14-disc Dylan bootleg.

Listening to George’s 1970 demo of ‘Beautiful Girl’ (before he had titled it as such, and before he met the lovely Livvy and dedicated it to her)
Not the kind you’d go handing around
and I think to meself, ‘Even to Eric Clapton?’

Salvatore Accardo playing Paganini. There were rumours that the latter sold his soul to the devil to be able to play as well as he did when he was alive. He even mutilated his left hand so he could simultaneously reach parts of the violin that were too far apart for a normal violinist. Some of the soloists back in the 19th century were as crazy as anyone in the Rock world.

Haven’t spun The Division Bell in a while so I’m listening to it now.
