See Emily Play is playing in me head at the moment although I haven’t listened to it in ages (this morning)
And I haven’t heard a proper Beatles album in like forever! (since Abbey Road this afternoon)

I’m currently listening to:
My mom decided it was time to listen to this (they’re one of her favourite groups), so it’s cranked up pretty loud right now. I don’t mind though because I like Queen too (in fact, I was obsessed with them before my Beatles obsession took over early last year and also back in 2011 and 2012 too). We’re getting towards the end of it and right now Headlong is playing.

Great idea SG! Currently enjoying Rainsong (Fortune’s Lullaby). @Ahhh Girl you might like George Winston’s version of The Dance (during a quiet moment as it’s kind of dreamy).

That song evokes so many emotions and places me right back into the 60s flower children vibration @pepperland . Also sadness and a bit of dread as dear Syd seems to be looking into a crystal ball and seeing his future.

Unfortunately Syd had the tendency to foresee his future in practically all of his songs… Well, it seems like that to me anyway. (The Scarecrow, Jugband Blues, Dark Globe, Baby Lemonade… etc.)

Those early singles and the album that followed them always make me want to don some psychedelic paisley and velveteen candy-stripes and go larking about yodelling ‘I’VE GOT A BIKE, YE CAN RIDE IT IF YOU LIKE’ at anyone who will listen.
And yes indeed, poor Syd Shine on, you welcome-wearing truth-and-delusion-mining painter-piper-prisoner crazy diamond– I’m sure he’s joined Lucy in the sky.
SEP– the chorus particularly– is that late sixties philosophy in a nutshell, isn’t it? I wasn’t there, of course, but from what I’ve read, it’s exactly like that.
There is no other day
Living in the moment
Let’s try it another way
Everything from sex, drugs to rock n’ roll!
You’ll lose your mind
and what followed for many, like Syd.
and play/ Free games for May
Yip. That’s my take anyways.
Currently listening to another gem of the psychedelic era:

Huge fan of Queen as well. I love Headlong and their other songs!
As for me, more of The Monkees! (no, not the album). Listen To The Band by The Monkees is what I’m listening to

For Maundy Thursday. I listen to JCS a lot during Holy Week. I’ll do what I always do and watch the 1973 film tomorrow night.
The end . . .
Is just a little harder when brought about by friends
For all you care this wine could be my blood
For all you care this bread could be my body
The end!
This is my blood you drink
This is my body you eat
If you would remember me when you eat and drink . . .

They’re one of my favorite bands and this is a GREAT live show of theirs.
