Just got done listening to and watching the John Lennon 75 concert. Incredible and moving–although I’m a bit upset Paul didn’t seem too happy and neither him nor Ringo performed. Otherwise, it was the most beautiful collaboration I’ve seen. Yoko also spoke and was adorable. She seems like the nicest person and I can’t believe I never saw that before.

Sorry Ahhh Girl, but I’ve just listened to this song called “I’m all about the bass”, and only one man comes to my mind. I can almost see him dancing to it. It’s so terrible *shudders*
Thanks, now it’s running through my brain too. That’s the one image I don’t want to be in my brain, ever. We can suffer through the pain together

^ That Greatest Hits album is just that for once (and also the top-selling album in the UK?). Volume 2 is pretty good as well.
Agree. Volume three on the other hand is abysmal, goes way beyond scrapping the bottom of the barrel. Could easily take ‘These Are The Days Of Our Lives’ off ‘Greatest Hits III’ and drop ‘I’m Going Slightly Mad’ or ‘Headlong’ from ‘GH II’.
And yes, Greatest Hits is the biggest selling album ever – only 6 million copies sold. There was a big thing about surpassing the 6 million mark when it happened.

This song reminds me of Something , which is highly ironic as both were inspired by the same lady.

And shows the difference between the two. ‘Something ‘ is one of the greatest songs ever written, ‘Wonderful Tonight’ is 20lb of sugar – one listen and i feel sick.

Yip, he wrote a very well received book on their live history. The band itself praised it.
Its also well worth reading his book reviews, many on The Beatles. Saved me a good few quid.
