^^ Yes indeed
^ Just looking at that iconic cover still brings an emotional reaction from the time I first heard it and was blown away

Its the same as every other Queen album in that there are some incredible tracks (‘Innuendo’, ‘These Are The Days Of Our Lives’, Bijou’) sitting amongst embarrassing crap that no artist under the sun would want to admit to (‘Hitman’, All God ‘s People’, ‘Headlong’).
There is also the “Explosive” version of ‘Innuendo’ which was released as a single and is exactly the same as the regular one except there is an explosion at the end. Its utterly pointless and a waste of time.
I find Queen infuriating as there is such great material (yet so much of it is overplayed so it becomes meh) that you want to dig deeper and occasionally you find real gems but there is so much crap to wade thru to get there.
On topic – what am i listening to?
The TV.

Agreed; one of the few artists I think are world class but three ‘Greatest Hits’ CDs and a few video clip and live DVDs are enough for me.

Paul Simon’s most recent album (from 2011), So Beautiful So What.
Though I’m a fan of classic Paul Simon (first album, followed by Rhymin’ Simon, then the amazing Graceland), I hadn’t bothered to take the time to listen to this one, since I felt disappointed by his subsequent work.
Not all the songs I like — but “Rewrite”, “The Afterlife”, and “Questions for the Angels” are especially good.

The Village Green Preservation Society – The Kinks
I can’t believe I only discovered the Kinks last weekend. I’ve been listening to them a lot lately and I have all of their albums now. I now have a clearly defined second favourite band. They’re so similar to the Beatles in a lot of ways yet quite unique as well.

^ That’s another on the list that needs to be checked-out one of these days / years / decades.
Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time/ Plans that either come to naught, or half a page of scribbled lines…
Hehe, sorry, couldn’t resist.
As for having a clearly defined second favourite band, well, I think most of you are aware of mine. I just quoted a song of theirs.

Awesome band; going through a Soap Opera and Schoolboys In Disgrace phase just now.

And even the fact that there is a relatively recent Paul Simon album I need to check-out is marvelous.
Then last night, I began to poke around a couple of other albums of his that came out after the album that disappointed me (Rhythm of the Saints, which seemed like mediocre rehashing of his marvelous experiment with “world music” in Graceland) — and was pleasantly surprised to find a 2006 album I’d never heard of before, Surprise, and on it an amazing song, “Another Galaxy”.
