It’s so nice to able to discover such amazing albums for the first time. I’ve had some of the same experience with a few of the solo albums I had somehow missed back in the day.

It would be nice if I just heard it for the first time today, but alas, that is not the case. I’ve heard it before, through that sometimes frightening resource known as YouTube, but I only just got it on CD, as my very own to wear out as I please.

Offline Combining two recent listening interests, Neil Young with Pearl Jam on Mirror Ball:
It has an unfortunately muddy production and mix from Brendan O’Brien but is enjoyable otherwise. I really like I’m The Ocean, Downtown and the John reference in Peace and Love:

Living in time
Followed by the accompanying Pearl Jam with Neil Young EP Merkin Ball:
Which oddly has excellent sound from the same producer / mixer (maybe Neil wanted muddy on his CD?). Long Road is an outstanding track with great pump organ and power chords from Neil.
