um…. The Beatles
What Goes On , to be specific. It's so country, but it makes me want to dance. Like John.

Tighten Up by The Black Keys just finished
and now it's Lola by The Kinks
Is that a cover of Archie Bell and the Drells Tighten Up? I hope so, because this song is too funky.
I don't know! unfortunately I lost my laptop ON a plane awhile back, and I now have to use the home PC, and it's not hooked up to sound for some reason, so I can't hear your video. I'm pretty sure it's not a cover, but the one by the Black Keys goes:
I wanted love, I needed love
Most of all, most of all..
Someone said “True Love” was dead
but I'm bound to fall
Bound to fall for you
Oh what can I do?
Take my badge, but my heart remains
Loving you, baby child..
Tighten up on your reigns, you're running wild.
Running wild, it's true.
etc etc.
Great song.

Yeah! it's sometimes hard to get into the Black Keys but when it's a Beatles cover, you can't help but like it. I'm having a brain freeze, not sure if that last phrase worked. Anyway, yes he is jamming to that! But he jams out exceptionally well to Twist And Shout I find.

Very cool new song I just found called Floating Vibes, reminds me a little of Sun King with its chillness.

It's funny how much new music is out there and how much is actually presented to mass audiences on the radio or TV. I always got the impression that since good new music wasn't really being presented, it just didn't exist or wasn't being produced, but I've recently discovered that's just not true. For example, my favorite type of music is instrumental funk, which is fairly specific, but there's just as much of that music being put out now as there was in the 70s. I recently found this Australian band called the Bamboos and they are as good as anything I've ever heard! So I guess there is good new music out there, they just make you find it yourself, but I think it's more fun that way.

Loving Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings right now, thanks largely to you, GnikNus!
No WAY anybody'd convince me this wasn't recorded 40 years ago if I didn't know better.
GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.

Just came back from my morning walk and the last song heard from the iPod was Something .
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

I thought the exact same thing when I first heard them. I've got an itunes giftcard that's been burning a hole in my pocket for a few days now and I was wondering if you had any suggestions?
