^ Well, that one was done by Neil in his guise as Bernard Shakey the film director. Some of the public opposition to the tour makes for interesting viewing, particularly in the southern states of the USA.
And yes, there is some video footage in the 3-disc 1974 set, not enough, but what IS there is stunning at times. Apparently even that took forever for Neil to approve, the rumour being that he didn’t like the look of his mutton chop sideburns

LOL typical eccentric Neil Young!
I’m currently checking out The Fireman’s “Electric Arguments” LP on youtube. Something I’ve been meaning to do for awhile.
Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

Nice, I have it on CD but haven’t got around to it yet, I like the couple of tracks from it that he did in the New York concert.
I had a spare copy due to a mess-up with an ebay order so I gave it to my brother in Brisbane but he didn’t like it

Sorry to say I’m really disliking most of it so far, too. Songs are very unmemorable, Paul’s voice is smothered in all sorts of crap and I really hate the reverby recording. A few fairly interesting textures here and there is all that really stands out. It feels really, I dunno, impersonal or something. I can imagine Radiohead fans would appreciate this a lot more than me. (Can’t remember if @IveJustSeenAFaceo has a high opinion of this album or not)

Very weird-sounding record. I can’t remember Paul sounding so mechanical before – like he’s deliberately trying to sound like some action-movie super robot or something. Definitely interesting and craftsmanlike, even though it irritates.
GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.

Mike Oldfield – though his name is nowhere on the outside, or spine – I guess the Tubular Bell is meant to be the clue. He played this to an immense crowd at an amazing outdoor New Year’s Eve concert in Berlin back around that time.

I was hoping someone had tackled this a capella. Not surprised it’s Street Corner Symphony that did it.

A selection of Queen tracks. It has to be a selection as i find that most of their albums have at least one or two dreadful numbers that need skipped before the first note is played (eg ‘The Hitman’ from ‘Innuendo’, ‘Machines (Or Back To Humans)’ off ‘The Works’).

I have a couple of their ‘hits’ DVDs – some great tracks.

The Fireman, Rushes. This album absolutely grows on me. The other two are great but I’m going to have to get over this one first.
I'm like Necko only I'm a bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin and also everyone. Or is everyone me? Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe. This has been true for 2016 & 2017 but I may have to get more specific in the future.
