Hoping to have time to listen to Endless River which I picked up today, especially the 5.1 mix. Can’t believe it has been 20 years since Pink Floyd’s last album.
It’s pretty good, though I listened to it 3 times after I got it and haven’t felt the urge to listen to it since.

Cheers – gave my initial impressions in the Pink Floyd thread.

Two American Leg Ends (B Dylan & J Cash) performing a song of another American Leg End (Elvis P) with a 4th American Leg End (C Perkins) on guitar!
What more could you want!

I figured out why all their songs are under 3 minutes – Diana’s vocal chords are made of butter and they’d melt!

Rush – La Villa Strangiato
I watched a documentary about them and now I’m listening to some of their stuff.
This is such an amazing instrumental!!
I’m learning it on guitar right now.
Quite fun!

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds-Ballad Of The Mighty I
New single. Horrible title. Great song. This is definitely my favourite post-Oasis song by him. It’s very different from his other stuff, a bit dark, and it features Johnny Marr on guitar!

The song list that @Mr Bellamy put together for me. I asked him to create me a playlist to listen to Paul’s voice as it ages that would help me hear younger Paul’s voice in older Paul’s voice (to make the transition – I hope you get what I’m saying – I’m glad he did). He picked out a stellar list of songs for me. I will be listening through this playlist quite a lot. He sent me a YouTube video of the songs which I listened to on my computer at work today while I was working on library association business. And, now, I have them all added to a playlist on one of my mp3 players.
Thank you, Mr Bellamy!

Bob Dylan: Positively 4th Street
I would insert a link if I could work out how to find the original on YouTube amongst the 5 thousand or so cover versions
Also, Neil Young’s Interstate (the Farm Aid version which was never released publicly due to some odd contractual issues, not the one that was a bonus track on the LP release of Broken Arrow). One of THE best unreleased songs in anyone’s non-catalogue.

Keep on Rockin’ in the Free World, oh yes!
This song was particularly good on the 2006 freedom tour. They looked like they felt it was 1969! Neil in his Army shirt…

Funny, them doing a documentary on THAT one when there’s that new archival 1974 live thing in the stores. (Is there video footage accompanying that one? can’t remember)
(Me, I’m listening to Beethoven’s Grosse Fuge. Noisy!)
Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.
