Vs. by Pearl Jam and White Album .

I'd like to say "thank you" on behalf of the group and ourselves and I hope we passed the audition.

Go with the mono, it just has a slightly different sound, plus there are a few bonus pieces of music that pop up in Revolver and Pepper. Unless you want to spend your money on discovering some new music, then maybe go with something else. It's a tough choice, you know.

As for me I'm listening to pretty much polar opposites of each other, lots of Simon and Garfunkel plus I just got this new Lennon cd of demos called Wonsoponatime, but I have to balance that out by listening to some funky stuff, lots of Funkadelic recently.

If you're that much of a Beatles fan that you'd consider spending $whatever on the mono box just to hear alternative mixes of songs you most likely already have, then you should probably get it. If you don't see the point then don't bother.

Wonsaponatime is quite an old release – it came out in 1998, at the same time as the John Lennon Anthology (it's a highlights disc from the box set, with some songs edited for length). It's not a bad collection IIRC.

I meant new to me, not in general. But for a Lennon release that is still fairly new I suppose.

Ten Out of Ten – Paolo Nutini

A fun little song that popped up on my Zune today. I don't remember adding it, but it was a nice surprise.

Ad hoc, ad loc, and quid pro quo! So little time! So much to know!

Is he good? I remember it seemed like the British press really liked him a few years ago.

If you enjoy Lennon's demos than yeah it's really good. If you don't, then perhaps you wouldn't like it too much. There are some really great takes on the album, like take one of Imagine and a different version of God , but you might be better off starting with the album Acoustic which I think is a little bit better.

Well, I liked the song, – kind of a reggae/pop thing going for it – and I wouldn't mind hearing more. If I'm late the party, it's hardly surprising.

Well, it was maybe 2005 or 2006.

I'm listening to Blur — The Unversal (speaking of throwbacks)

the guidos and guidettes on the Jersey Shore

I absolutely can't stand this show, but once it is on, you can't turn away. It surely is bad tv.

*9* <—– see John agrees. You think John would watch the Jersey shore? I feel like he would. Hmmm a-hard-days-night-john-2
