I’d alert the news @Bulldog, i’ve never seen a wachine machine run. If its fast you could enter it into a race.
It was just in one, in fact. It’s just finished. It could have been faster though, it only came in fourth. I’m pretty sure the one in first was using performance-enhancing drugs of some sort, though.

[Listening and Watching last night]. Reminding myself what a great touring band the Beach Boys could be (they were on tour in Japan when Brian Wilson put Pet Sounds – see above – together -> they added vocals when they got back):
All sorts of issues raised in the notes on this one which I have mentioned in threads about Paul – about the dangers of becoming a travelling jukebox. Al Jardine mentions their worries along these lines and Carl Wilson quit for a time after this tour as he wanted to perform more new music live.

Got back to my desk at 1PM after lunch. Turned the radio on just in time to hear ‘A Day In The Life ‘. Fabulous! I regaled a co-worker with the facts regarding how many people hit how many pianos how many times to get it right. He confirmed something I’ve long suspected – I need help.
Right now, it’s Zeppelin’s ‘Over The Hills And Far Away’.
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

I wouldn’t say you need help. It’s just that you like the Beatles that much. And I’m still amazed that that radio was playing A Day In The Life . I never hear it on the radio.

What a coincidence! I also heard A Day In The Life on the radio today, also around lunchtime. Obviously it wasn’t the same radiostation, since we’re in completely different timezones, but it’s still cool. Apparently it’s a good lunchsong then.

That’s a coincidence – had I not left it on the table next to my front door, I would have been listening to it on my way to work.
Just turned the radio on at my desk for the first time today and was treated to ‘Let It Be ‘. That’s two days in a row that a Beatles song was the first one I heard upon switching it on. It’s magic! Actually, it’s WMGK…

He still hosts the morning show, WETSRoosa. This station plays a ton of Beatles – there are at least 2 Beatles Breaks that I know of everyday and a lot more individual songs in between. For guys like me who enjoy Classic Rock, this station is fabulous.

Good to see John DiBella still at it. He was taken off the air in the mid-90s, as a bitter divorce with a certified nut of a woman combined with Howard Stern driving him off the air (and bragging about it to this day, and DiBella’s still bitter about that whole experience) and a change in his show (they tried to pair him with sportscaster Howard Eskin… HUGE MISTAKE) led to his downfall. I know he came back sometime in the mid-2000s, but didn’t know he was still in the business. Good for him.
My first radio internship was in a classic rock station in the late 90s. Good times, and I got to meet Steve Miller when he played a concert in that area. Super nice guy.
Oh, listening to the latest from Beck…

Hey Bulldog (love saying that) – I remembered my Thirty Three & 1/3 today. It made for a fantastic ride to work.
