I am currently listening to a boot of Joan Jett playing New York on New Year’s Eve 1981, while drinking a white chocolate drink topped with brandy, and eating a butter basted roast chicken and Lincolnshire sausage sandwich.

I’m pretty sure Ron means he is “eating all that stuff.” If not, then I have no clue how.

Though if anybody could do it, it would be Joan!!!
And, remember, one of Brian’s critiques of the Beatles, was about them eating and drinking on stage.
But, yes!!!, it was me drinking the hot white chocolate and brandy, while eating the sandwich!!!

Yeah but it’s hard to get a bite onstage especially during long shows. Anyway, back on the subject:
I’m listening to the Jeff Healey version of While My Guitar Gently Weeps ! It’s very good guitar!
By hook or by crook, I'll be last in this book.

@Bulldog, what did you think of the album and did you listen to just the John tracks or Yoko’s as well (some people skip Yoko’s singing)?

A review: Honestly, it was okay, but really pretty weak. I understand, of course, because John wasn’t alive to put forth definitive versions of any of his songs. I listened to all the songs except I didn’t finish “You’re The One” – too long, vocals were quite bad (as to be expected; I don’t hate Yoko, but let’s be honest, there are only one or two songs where she really sounds alright.) Double Fantasy I found much better overall, except for one thing: Yoko NEVER squeals on Milk And Honey . Let Me Count The Ways was by far the best Yoko song on the album, she sounded pretty decent. And I would say John’s demo of Grow Old With Me was actually better than most of his other songs on the album. Of course Nobody Told Me is great, but perhaps a bit overrated. John’s songs here are mainly unfinished bits from the Double Fantasy sessions, so it’s really no wonder they’re of subpar quality. If he’d been alive to keep recording albums, probably only one or two songs from it would have been on them, if any. The rest would have never seen the light of day.
I may listen to it again, but probably not. I’m more likely to listen to DF again, since nearly everything on that beats this (not comparing John’s songs to Yoko’s, that would be unfair, I mean his to his and hers to hers on each album.) I’m more likely to listen to either just John’s from DF (and maybe Yes I’m Your Angel, I actually like that one) or an album that doesn’t feature Yoko.
I’m listening to Please Please Me now.

Thanks for the review, i find it interesting to find out what people think when they hear about a Beatles or solo Beatles album for the first time. I agree about an album without Yoko as i dont find her voice agrees with my ears, i actually took all the John songs from Milk And Honey (i like most of them aside from ‘(Forgive Me) My Little Princess’, especially ‘I Dont Wanna Face It’) and added them to his tracks from Double Fantasy .
Not wanting to derail much longer so i am currently listening to Paul live at Inglewood, California way back in November 1989 and have come to conclusion that ‘The Long And Winding Road ‘ doesnt work as a live track (too dull) whilst ‘Pepper’ very much does, especially with the Reprise as well.

I’m listening to Cecil Taylor’s trio live at the Cafe Montmartre (Copenhagen) on November 23, 1962. Track is called “Nefertiti, The Beautiful One Has Come” (also the album title).
Incidentally, the album was recorded on a day (night?) when the Beatles were particularly busy:

Listening to the great guitarist Johnny Winter who sadly passed in Switzerland yesterday. He was 70.
Here he is celebrating his 70th birthday just a few months ago.
RIP Johnny! One of the guitar gods!!
