The Byrds-Mr Tambourine ManLove the original by Dylan too, btw. I was just in the mood for the version with jangly guitars and harmonies.
And a very nice song it is too (in both versions). I also like the one Bob did at the Concert for Bangladesh (I think it is on the CD but not in the film – some issue with footage?).

Didn’t know where to post this so here will do (thought about in a Double Fantasy thread but none are appropriate).
Was listening to the first disc of ‘Oddities 2’ which is outtakes from the Double Fantasy sessions and it was such great fun hearing John so relaxed in the studio enjoying himself, one of the most enjoyable albums i’ve heard in a very long time. Anyway a few soundbites caught my attention.
Watching The Wheels rehearsal sessions – “Now we got a good rhythm going we can roll a little more relaxed, you know what i mean, now you got sort of parts and that let’s not turn it into ‘I Am The Walrus ‘, if you know it that’s fine and if you don’t that’s fine too. It’s somewhere in between ‘I Am The Walrus ‘, ‘Mind Games ‘ and ‘Imagine ‘. So it has to be a little laid back ‘cos he’s Watching The Wheels he’s not actually driving the damn track.”
Woman vocal overdub sessions – “I still feel like i’m in the f*****g Beatles with this track. I just though we should have starting going (John inhales deeply mimicking the breathing in ‘Girl’) turning it in to ‘Girl'”.
I’m Stepping Out sessions – “Ok, ok, ok, ok!. Two things. More voice so i don’t have to break my balls. . . (tape fades)”.

Nice to see that I have a sudden influence on the users!
As per the song, “Red Barchetta” by Rush. My science teacher recommended it to me. We were talking about the future of automobiles (mainly the future obsolescence of gas-powered vehicles) and he recommended the song. It’s a great song!
By hook or by crook, I'll be last in this book.

A Jeff Healey cover of “While My Guitar Gently Weeps ” (he had George and Jeff Lynne from ELO on backing vocals). Very nice guitar from Mr. Healey!

The Gibbs were pretty hip, considering their music is considered to be disco/bubblegum by many. Even if you don’t like their sound, they wrote some good songs.
