Not right now (watching Spain be rubbish) but was listening to the original Ann Margret recording of I Just Don’t Understand earlier and its no surprise that the four played this on the BBC, its a really good song. The Beatles recording is one of the many highlight’s of all the songs they played but would have loved to have heard a studio recording with harmonica overdubbed as is on the original – they were right to ditch the echoing vocals however.
And also have rediscovered this, really liked it when it came out way back when (will spare you the official video)

The more i hear of Queen and the deeper i go the less i like. Also could quite happily never hear half of their greatest hits ever again due to excessive overplay.
Queen are my least favorite band ever. Anyway, to each his(/her) own.
I'm Necko. I'm like Ringo except I wear necklaces.
I'm also ewe2 on weekends.
Most likely to post things that make you go hmm... 2015, 2016, 2017.

I like Queen’s creative era (Bohemian Rhapsody) and their hard rock stuff but I don’t like how they got more synthetic as time passed (I don’t like The Miracle, Innuendo, or Made in Heaven). I don’t know what Brian and Roger were thinking around that time.
By hook or by crook, I'll be last in this book.

Made in Heaven and Innuendo were 2 of my favourite Queen albums but i haven’t played them for a while. The Miracle i’ve always rated as crap. My main problem i have with Brian and Roger is their ongoing campaign to milk Queen’s legacy for every penny they can get out of it what with all that Queen+ s**t. John Deacon did the decent thing by hanging up his plectrums after the Wembley tribute concert and only coming out to play twice since (that i’m aware of).

I’m with you on the Queen+ idea. I think if they want to keep going, they should at least do more effort on their own records and don’t milk Queen out for what it is. I miss John Deacon of course, but I admire his decision to leave. There was a joke once that called him the “UK Hide-and-Seek Champion since 1997” (the year he retired, duh). They re all talented musicians, and I love their music. Jut don’t milk it for what it is. I especially miss Freddie. he didn’t have to mess himself up for what he did. I think that if he were still alive, they would still be recording and touring, and Queen wouldn’t turn into advertising like it is.

“Sister Sadie” by Horace Silver, a jazz musician who passed away yesterday. I wonder if the title influenced “Sexy Sadie ?”

I’m just kind of skipping around the Anthology albums and listening to what I want to hear right now.

At the moment, Maybe I’m Amazed , by Paul. I have to confess I love Paul and Linda’s love… I’m SO sorry she died so young…
Are there any other “fans” of Paul and Linda or is it simply that I am the crazy romantic girl I’ve always been?
