The fantastic soundtrack album of the quite brilliant film Bugsy Malone.
So many great songs to list but this is one of the best (the album on youtube is not complete so i wont post it here).

I don’t know how I got here, but it’s not that bad.

I like the original better. (Played it just last night!) Great choice of song, great singing and guitars by the Beatles, but the overdubbed handclaps annoy me – they’re so prissy and staccato. I would’ve preferred two-claps-to-the-bar, rather than four. Just IMO.
Listening to some piano concerto (Mendelssohn?)
[EDIT: It was Beethoven, which I never woulda guessed. But it was his first one, so I guess it doesn’t sound like his later ones, which I’m slightly more familiar with. (Like I know what I’m talking about.)]
Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

I’ve been listening to two of the eight (I think) versions of “God Only Knows” from The Pet Sounds Sessions collection. Give them a listen if you haven’t already, especially since I can think of two people who really like the song.
This is the isolated vocal/a cappella track:
And this version features Brian Wilson, rather than Carl, on lead:

On the Lufthansa flight out of Munich, I felt it only fitting to listen to The Beatles two German songs. Then mom and I listened to New. Mom really likes “Road” from that album. Her second favorite is “New”.
This morning: Off The Ground album.

First I was listening to Radiohead’s apparent master plan album 01-10. It supposedly combines OK Computer and In Rainbows. Really weird conspiracy theory. It’s a total load of crap, but still kinda cool to listen to.
Now I’m listening to Sir, the Paul/Beatles megamix Mr Bellamy posted over in the megamix thread. It’s really extraordinary.

Out of curiosity, do you know from when these covers were? The only time I’ve ever watched a full episode of American Idol was once when I was in the hospital, and they were doing a night of Beatles covers (The nurse wanted to watch it and I wasn’t really watching anything else. It was just a happy coincidence that it was Beatles covers.) I’m curious to see if you were listening to those same performances.
EDIT: Oh, and apparently I’m the 3000TH post in this thread. It’s weird to think that it’s 3000 posts long and 150 pages long. I never would have guessed it when I started it four years ago.
