Nice album, with George on four of the tracks so it fits here well. This was recorded in 1990 during the Wilbury years and has their flavour on some of the tracks; but as the liner notes say it is an eclectic mix overall, nary an ELO string in sight.
Is it still way over produced or did Jeff get locked out of the control room before he got the chance?

Now that’s strange – I’ve been digitising my vinyl, and today unearthed this album, plus Joe Walsh’s solo LP from the late 70’s (the one with “Life’s Been Good” on it). I’d forgotten I had them, both excellent albums. Also found Del Shannon’s Jeff Lynne produced LP, That’s next to be recorded.

Ha ha – still a little over the top if you don’t like his style, but not as much as some of his ELO work. I happen to like his style so all good with me

From 2001; Beatle count – Ringo on 2 tracks and George (sublime slide work) on 2. Given the date I guess this must have been close to the last work George did?
First time I have heard it (though I have had the DVD for some time which has some of the tracks off it); I think it is the best of the last 3 ELO albums post-Time.

My Corinne Bailey Rae Pandora station, which gets more awesome the longer I listen to it. It plays a lot of Melody Gardot, India Arie, Adele, Amy Winehouse and Amel Larrieux.BTW, is anyone else on Pandora? We could share stations.

If you click on your profile, you should see links that’ll either say Followers or Following and maybe a search box to find friends (it’ll be different for you since you just joined, so I’m not sure what it looks like). I’m parlance1 – I think you should be able to find me that way.

Nice coincidence – I like some of the work Joe has done on some of Ringo’s recent efforts as well.

Finshed listening to Wings in Glasgow in December of ’79 along with the 6 officially released tracks on the Concert for Kampuchea LP. The poorest concert i’ve heard from Paul and the various guises of Wings; the band fails to generate any real energy for any substantial period of time throughout and Paul’s vocals sound half-hearted at times. Another problem are the drums which at times are doing too much, for example on the Glasgow performance of Band On The Run which totally ruin the song for me. Best moments are when the crowd sing a couple of lines from Yesterday and when they chant Paul’s name (part of which can be heard at the start of that BOTR link).
Cool tho that they performed Hot As Sun which i doubt many fans remembered 7 years after its inclusion on McCartney, how cool would it be now if such deep cut were pulled out and performed during the On The Run tours?
Next up McCartney II , and era related tracks, which i’m really looking forward to.
