I found a setting on my computer that lets you adjust EQ so that it can simulate an environment for listening. And, with my environment set to “Auditorium” and my EQ set to “Live”, it honestly sounds like a live show. It’s fantastic. So I’m just giddily running through my iTunes library finding songs I want to hear live. It’s pretty convincing.
Cool. I just adjusted my settings to simulate “Sewer Pipe” and “Carpeted Hallway.”

Don’t Look Back In Anger is one of the very few, well three to be exact, Oasis songs that don’t bore me senseless. And no Wonderwall isn’t amongst the other two, those are Songbird and The Importance of Being Idle.I agreed with George that Oasis would have been better without Liam who’s voice i find incredibly monotonous.
Suppose i should keep one thread on topic.
Having gotten a couple of John bootlegs i’m listening to Plastic Ono Band outtakes.
Not a huge fan either, well actually I haven’t really bothered with checking out more of their stuff. I only know about 10 songs, of which I only like 5 or so.
And I only found out yesterday that Noel actually has written most of their stuff, including Wonderwall and Whatever. I also heard a performance of him singing those two songs, and though I’m used to Liam’s voice on those songs of course, I thought it was lovely and maybe better.
Anyway, on topic again. Just tried to listen to Churches, this hipster band that’s oh so popular in the Netherlands all of a sudden, but it’s truly s***e. So now it’s George Ezra-Budapest. I’m in love with that song.

Wings bored and tired in Glasgow December 1979, well thats how they sound and how they are making me. Complete lack of drive and energy – maybe down to it being near the end of the concert run. Just got past No Words which comes over as a crap tribute cover.

J’aurais Toujours Faim De Toi (Hungry For You) – The Police
They sound so different live… It has to be on purpose, because the songs all sound completely different than the studio versions. I was listening to the studio version but looked up the video to post here and now I’m listening to the concert. From the Ghost In The Machine Tour… It’s pretty amazing that Andy Summers is playing both the guitar and synth…

Jonny Greenwood plays like all the instruments at Radiohead’s live performances except for bass, drums, and rhythm guitar. They’ve got another lead guitarist who plays the lead parts while Jonny’s off hitting the xylophone.

The rebroadcast of Geoff Lloyd’s Beatles Brunch. I appreciate his candor, going ahead and naming certain songs like “Piggies ” outright stinkers. I don’t think you’d hear that on a Beatles show in the US – or you might get a heavily euphemized version of the sentiment.
