I’m listening to Paul’s show from Fenway Park in Boston last summer, 7/9/13…I was there and it always takes me back to that wonderful night of music and camraderie with the crowd when I listen to this bootleg.

This is the bridge mentioned in the song.
This was fun finding this post, Ahhh Girl. Now, along with the Mississippi Bridge, maybe one of the Beatles Bible detectives can snoop out the home of the singer’s “Marie.” It shouldn’t be that hard; we know it’s on the south side, just a half a mile away. We can use Google Maps. Maybe one of the mailboxes there has “Marie” painted on it. One of the mailboxes should, as a tourist attraction.

I have iTunes on shuffle and Dylan’s “All Along the Watchtower” is finishing, but the hour is getting late. I think I’ll hit the hay.
I’ve actually never heard the original, only the Hendrix version.

Every time I hear Dylan’s original version, I think of Kevin Spacey smoking pot and lifting weights in the garage as that song is playing in American Beauty. Great movie.

I prefer the original to the Hendrix version, but most people would disagree with me.
I'm Necko. I'm like Ringo except I wear necklaces.

The first version I heard was actually Jimi’s cover, and for a while, I thought he wrote it. At some point, I decided to Google the song, and I found out it was a Dylan composition. Dylan and Hendrix are among my favorite artists, so I like both versions equally.

Let it Be (Naked) *for the first time
I got home, 50 minutes until I had to go to friends’ house for dinner and cards. I found a package – inside it was Let It Be (Naked). I thought “Just enough time to listen to it!”. So I eagerly unwrapped it and put it on…2 of us is on now and so far it sounds so much more alive than the original version. I particularly liked George’s guitar in Dig A Pony . But I repeat – it just sounds more alive, more Beatly. Definitely worth the $15 usd (I could have got it cheaper, but I saved on shipping this way).
I’m so glad they did a studio version of One After 909 (I know regular LIB has it too). That’s one of my fave songs, and it’s one of the ones that had the longest time between writing and recording. Of course this version is better
Several Hours Later: Oops, guess I forgot to hit ‘Add Reply’. Oh well, now I can tell you how I like it. A lot! I haven’t compared the two side by side yet but this just almost sounded like early beatles, excited, inigorated young people jamming rock and roll, not some orchestra accompaniment. The invididual performances, like George on guitar, Ringo throughout, the harmonies with Paul and John just seem more relaxed, more together, I don’t know, I’m glad I got it, that’s for sure

Two Of Us is my favorite track from Let It Be …Naked, and one of only two (with Across The Universe ) that I like better than the Let It Be version of.
