Wrapping up listening to Rush live in Birmingham, England in 1988 (a GREAT concert!). Up next, the legendary Exile on Main Street by the Stones.

@Necko Woohoo! I love Wilco, though not many people know them. Great band. If you haven’t already, check out Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. One of the best albums of the ’00s
And @DrBeatle Ugh. I really hate Exile On Main St. Probably the Main reason I hate the Stones so much. I just can’t get through it.

That’s actually the first album of theirs I heard.
I think I’ve mentioned this before (pretty sure, actually), but Jay Bennett, formerly of Wilco, was an alumnus of the high school I went to.
I'm Necko. I'm like Ringo except I wear necklaces.
I'm also ewe2 on weekends.
Most likely to post things that make you go hmm... 2015, 2016, 2017.

I love Wilco. I started following Jeff Tweedy back when he was in Uncle Tuplo (1990’s No Depression being one of my favourite albums). To me, two of Wilco’s best albums are the Mermaid Avenue (Volumes 1 & 2) collaborations they did with Billy Bragg, writing music for Woody Guthrie lyrics that didn’t have surviving music.
To me, with Billy joining them on acoustic guitar, Volume One included their finest moment, the very beautiful California Stars.

@Necko @Ron Nasty I love California Stars.
I have a Wilco concert CD somewhere, It’s still on my old computer, I should burn it and rip it onto my new one. It was a great concert, my parents went and somehow got a well recorded CD.
Yankee Hotel Foxtrot is probably the best album made in the 2000s I can think of. Though it was a pretty sucky decade for music.
I just checked my albums made in the 2000s, and the other finalists for best album of the ’00s are Radiohead’s Kid A and Paul’s Chaos And Creation.
Here’s the cover I made for the concert disc:

The other day at school, I heard a teacher repeating the phrase “God only knows,” so, of course, this came to mind.
I downloaded this song along with a few other Beach Boys tracks from iTunes, but I think I’ll pick up a CD copy of Pet Sounds along with a few other non-Beach Boys albums I’ve been meaning to purchase once I get some cash for my birthday.

Oasis’ live album Familiar To Millions. It opens with a track known by the charming title of “F***in In The Bushes”.
But it closes with a cover of Helter Skelter , so it’s all balanced out.
