For the umpteenth time, Fernando de la Mora's Amor Eterno CD. My Dad is on a Fernando de la Mora kick. a-hard-days-night-paul-3

I suspect is his revenge because I play The Beatles non-stop. a-hard-days-night-paul-2

I can't get (Just Like) Starting Over out of my head. Every time I think I get it out of my head, it'll go “why don't we take off alone” and then I'll get that part stuck in my head, then I'll get it out and it'll go “our life, do do, together, do do, is so precious, do do, together, do do” and then I'll get that out of my head and it'll go to that little drum part and then it'll go to that weird robot part at the end. Then it'll all be gone but I'll hear the little bells and then it's just…like starting over.

I sat on a rug, biding my time, drinking her wine

A few years ago, I kind of liked a band called Shiny Toy Guns. I've started listening to their stuff again, and they're actually not that bad.

This is one of my all time favorite blues tunes. If you don't like the blues, just skip to 4:13 for one awesome guitar solo.

To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

Which version? The original, or the one high school students everywhere play on their choir teachers' pianos?

If I seem to act unkind, it's only me, it's not my mind that is confusing things.

Original. All other versions don't matter to me.

Oh, mith…don't get me started. To me, The Beatles are # 1. The Allman Brothers are # 1A. I've seen them live either as a whole or solo (Dickey Betts and/or Greg Allman) 12 times.
I don't want to turn this into The Allman Brothers Forum. But, since you asked…

Some of my bluesier favorites are Don't Want You No More / It's Not My Cross to Bear, One Way Out and Statesboro Blues.
On the lighter side are Blue Sky, Midnight Rider and Seven Turns.

Right now I am listening to an atmospheric album called 'A Week In Hawaii' listening to an hour of just a waterfall. This is great when you are reading or just want to relax. But earlier, I was listening to Anoushka Shankar.

The further one travels, the less one knows

“(I'm Not Your) Steppin' Stone” — The Monkees

I'd love to hear the Sex Pistols version.

"We are all a little weird and life's a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love." — Dr. Seuss

Trainspotting soundtrack. Speaking of which, anyone seen this film?

You all will have read that Dave Dee is no longer with us. But Mickey and Titch and I would like to carry on the good work that's always gone down in number two.
