I just loaded a bunch of Beatles songs into the jukebox at Applebee’s. I’m looking around to see if anyone is grooving.

How is the album? I used to worship Beck as a teen and 20-something (Sea Change got me through a break-up), but haven’t listened to anything from him since The Information.

Well, I’ve only heard it once.  It’s not released yet, it’s just streaming for free on NPR’s website prior to release.  It’s supposed to be a sequel or something to Sea Change.  It sounds a lot like Sea Change.

Anyway, on topic, I’m listening to some rough mixes of some music I’ve been working on.

Then I should probably avoid it. I loved Sea Change, but that record isn’t a cheerful one. (Circumstances surrounding me at the time didn’t help, either.)

Just learned one of my all time favorite groups, Nickel Creek, have gotten back together. They released their first single, and I’m listening to that now.

Here’s a twist: it’s my instrumentals playlist on shuffle this time. I just type the new songs name each time it starts playing. Should be fun.

FIRST TWO

YYZ, Moving Pictures, Rush

Treefingers, Kid A, Radiohead

MIDDLE TWO

Yellow Submarine In Pepperland Yellow Submarine The Beatles

A Beginning, Anthology 3 , The Beatles

LAST TWO

12 Bar Original, Anthology 2 The Beatles

Flying Magical Mystery Tour The Beatles

Wow, I just can’t get away from them. Not that I want to.

Listening on random, and this Levellers track came on. I’d forgotten just how much of a Lennon vocal it had!
