No.
I have a friend who went to see them live and said basically the same thing as you. When I first moved back to the States, they came around, but I wasn't settled enough to buy tickets or anything. They are on my list of bands to see before I get too old and feeble. They, Arctic Monkeys and The White Stripes.

A Change Is Gonna Come, the Otis Redding version. I absolutely love his voice.
Yes, awesome song! I feel like the Sam Cooke version is sort of fake, whereas Otis just goes for it, you can tell he really means it. That trumpet or whatever it is at the end always kind of shocks me because I'm just so hooked on Otis's voice.

I get what you mean. Like Otis just put so much of himself into the song more so than than Sam did. And then when he sings those first notes “I was born by the river…” literal shivers and goosebumps on the skin.
But now I'm listening to Desolation Row by Bob Dylan. I love the second verse and the guitar work.

I LOVE The White Stripes! They're brilliant.
Who need a bass? That's for losers!
I'd like to say "thank you" on behalf of the group and ourselves and I hope we passed the audition.

A great Piano song by Paul
I'm sorry to break this so late, but I just listened to this after coming to this page and I just cried A LOT. (to tell you the truth, I feel a little dead inside.)

Currently drinking a cocktail I invented (rum & chocolate milk – yum!), watching the World Junior Hockey championship game (yay Canada! WE'RE NUMBER TWO! WE'RE NUMBER TWO!), and listening to the enjoyable Come And Get It : The Best of Apple Records – which I have improved by artificially adding to it “Hey Jude “, which shoulda been included in the first place, for which I gave my well-reasoned arguments on the album's article itself:

(P.S. – Congratulations Russian juniors!)
Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.
