I am currently listening to a compilation of ’80s/’90s American parody/satire band Big Daddy. They covered songs as if it was still the late-’50s. There’s a few great Beatles covers from their 1992 album Sgt. Pepper ‘s.
Lucy in the Sky as if done by Jerry Lee Lewis (if you didn’t know it wasn’t, you’d think it was!). And someone’s put together a fantastic video for it!
Good Morning Good Morning as a doo-wop song!
A Day In The Life in the style of Buddy Holly!

A big-ass Paul mix! It’s still his birthday here for an hour and half! (Like I need an excuse to listen to him!)
"Please don't bring your banjo back, I know where it's been.. I wasn't hardly gone a day, when it became the scene.. Banjos! Banjos! All the time, I can't forget that tune.. and if I ever see another banjo, I'm going out and buy a big balloon!"

Listening to some boring ol’ American-British generic rock that I’ve overlooked (the Foreigner discography specifically) to find things that are funky or mindblowing enough to qualify as keepers.

Just put on JJ Cale’s Troubadour… I’ll probably have a listen to Naturally afterwards. A great loss…

Mja, Dylan is another artist im listening more to. Couldn’t get into him at the beginning but through small portions he really has grown on me, someone well worth sticking with. Enjoying the Dylan and Friends recording, thanks for posting that. Got the Whitmark demos recently which is on my long list of things to listen to.

Blur’s b-sides from their singles associated with the Modern Life is Rubbish album. Es Schmect right now…these b-sides could’ve made a fantastic album in their own right.

Yep, the SA Tourist Commission advertising the Barossa Valley, a beautiful wine-growing district in South Australia. It seems pretty unlikely, and I know it’s only an ad, but it’s actually really good. Their previous campaign featured Eddie Vedder’s “Rise” and it did very well for them.
